The Queen of Hip Hop Soul is back in the studio again working on her follow-up to the platinum hit album Growing Pains. So far she has worked with the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, B. Cox, and Rodney Jerkins. Mary will appear on Gravy's (the dude who played Biggie in Notorious) album. Her new fragrance, My Life, will be released shortly before the new album drops this fall. Here are some pics of Mary from the Notorious premiere.

I'm still pissed about Growing Pains. Since when do we only get 2 singles from a Mary album? Blasphemy!

That producers list looks like this is Growing Pains part two. That's the only Mary album I can't stand most of.

Really? I think GP is one of her best. I do think it's a bit long though, it would be perfect if they cut a few filler songs out of the middle because I love the beginning and the end a lot (+ Till The Morning!).
The only other Mary albums that, IMO, have little or no filler are What's the 411?, Mary, and Love & Life.

I've been bumping GP a lot as of late. I've been having the album for a year, but I'm JUST starting to listen to the album in it's entirety.

"Hurt Again" was never sent to radio. It charted on its own.

GP was so disappointing (although "Just Fine" is amazing). She better come back with something hot this time.

Another winter release? I hope this isn't nothing like GP.

Growing Pains was one of my favorite albums from her...her and/or label picked the wrong singles and waited to long to put out the official 2nd single "Stay Down" which was Mary at her best!

Growing Pains was a great album.
The only Blige album I can't tolerate is No More Drama.

Add Ne-Yo because in all his interviews lately he says he's been working with Mary...I want her to work with some different producers...Mary & Salaam Remi would be a masterpiece.

WTF? Mary looks damn good. Her skin is flawless. Her body is crazy. And her weave is luxurious. She certainly looks better than certain divas who look like they just stepped out of the trailer park and are ready to hop on a football field with their linebacker bodies. PLEASE.

Hurt Again needed a proper release. It would have been huge on Urban.

The other day I was digging through an old CD collection that my parents had, and I found the Mary album. I listened to it and WOW. That album is really good. Her 90s work is definitely her superior material.

She is only 38? Wow she looks old as hell. Anyway I liked Growing Pains. I hope she has some big hits on this upcoming album though.

Glad someone sees it...his beats, her vocals. It's like all his work is Grammy Gold from Lauryn to Amy to now possibly Jazmine.

I think she looks older because of the short hair. The only female singer I can think of who can pull of the short hair and not look years older is Annie Lennox.
