3 3 KELLY CLARKSON My Life Would Suck W... 8517 8453 64 51.031
-3 Spins -22 Bullet +0.007 Audience
This may have a minor turnaround, but I don't think it will ultimately amount to much -- a few new stations must have been erroneously categorised as AC stations when they were really POP stations, and consequently some songs got a spin boost as spins were carried across to the correct chart.

I don't think Hook Up is doing enough to warrant tracking just yet.

This is such a fantastic song to hear on the radio- it gets you going just by those opening notes and it's like a roller-coaster all the way to the end.

She performed this on Oprah yesterday, along with a bit of BOY and BTHE. She sounded really good, but that green dress she was wearing was awful and didn't do her any favors. What was she thinking????

I thought her performance on Oprah was kind of lifeless.

I didn't like the Oprah, Idol, or SNL performances of this song. She looks tired and frumpy and the vocals were not up-to her usual excellence even tho she isn't singing it in the key it is on the record live. It isn't the weight issue either, it is just the look.
Perhaps she actually does not like this album since she was forced to go this route and do an "Oops! I Recorded Breakaway Again!"

I thought she was good on Oprah, but I agree the dress wasn't so good. I think it only brought more attention to her weight.

Perhaps she actually does not like this album since she was forced to go this route and do an "Oops! I Recorded Breakaway Again!" No need to roll your eyes. I think Kelly Clarkson is awesome and I've enjoyed all of her albums (including My December). I just get the feeling she is disgusted with how Clive derailed My December and now she basically did Breakaway Part 2. I don't blame her either, Clive and his minions are old and need to retire.

I actually wondered about that. I said to myself "Does Kelly herself like this album?" I know she was forced, but I seem to remember her saying that she wouldn't release music she's not happy with. I think she likes it, but wishes she had creative control.

Boo-frickin-hoo. Kelly has her second #1 album and a #1 single, a boatload of positive reviews, and a bunch of potential hit songs. I wish somebody would force me into such a "terrible" situation.

^Success often comes at the sacrifice of what the artist really wants to do. It is a double edged sword.

^^ I never understand why some people think they know what the "true" feelings of any artists are without actually speaking to them directly or reading actual quotes from them. I wish I had that type of ESP, lol.
Can you please provide a link to an article or media file which supports your statement that Kelly is "pushing an album that she does not care for" ? Thanks.

I hate it when people try to create stories about something they know absolutely nothing about just to try to make something more interesting than it really is. She was crazy about the song "All I Ever Wanted". She called Aranda and begged them to give it to her and not let anyone else have it. It was the first song she recorded for this album and she said she based the direction of this album completely around it. Anyone who follows Kelly closely (as in watching/reading all of her interviews) would know that she is very excited/happy about this album and has said countless times she recently she would never put out something she wasn't proud of or would later regret. All of that has came straight from her lips. Unless somehow some of you know Kelly better than she knows herself? Enough said.

So, if how she "looked happiest" to you is your only support that Kelly is "pushing a record that she does not care for", I think your case is full of holes. Kelly will be happiest on tour- in her own words, it is the best part of her job. I think Kelly looks very relaxed and happy this era because she has her label's support during the promotion phase and because she hand-picked songs and writers/producers that she worked wih. Where she did appear on-edge during the promo period was during 'My December''s release. The date was changed and the era was marred with public feuding and controversy, so who could be at their happiest at that time...

What's she going to do, go out and say "Yeah, I'm really not too keen on the final product.... :(" LMAO

Let's move on because some people wish to speak solely based on conspiracy theories in their own head, whereas others prefer to speak more evidence-based.....

So it would be safe to just go around and regardless of what anyone says think they're feeling completely the opposite. That seems rational. l Mao

I don't just naturally assume she loves the album. She has said in countless interviews how excited about this album she was and how she couldn't wait for people to hear it, not to mention the countless personal favorites she says she has on the album. It came straight from her mouth. I don't need to consider the other possibilities. I can trust that Kelly knows what she likes and doesn't like.

^Would you really expect her to say...."God, I hate this album. I recorded it under pressure from the record company, enjoy though!"

When she got all chummy with Clive again, I knew she knew how to play the game like a pro.
