Her hardcore fans are buying this album. Posters can LULZ all they want, but without a hit single and hardly any visibility, 15k is better than nothing. Numbers aren't everything.

I think she's rather past her expiration date for Idol. They tend to only invite those that are managed personally by 19E or have big buzz. Kat has neither Ruben Studdard & Taylor Hicks were both on last season, and they have neither and aren't doing any better then her.... They both won. Katharine did not. |

I think they'll bring her back. They brought Michael Johns, Carly, and Brooke back last year. That should bring her back.

That's because they had just been on AI the season before. It's been what, 4 years since Kat was on? She's not relevant anymore, and her album sales prove that the interest is not there anymore either.

God, she needs to get rid of the platinum locks ASAP. She looks washed out and older. I feel bad for her, virtually no buzz, no radio play, no relevancy in the music scene, and she still hasn't carved any kind of niche...is she pop? AC? Jazzy pop? folky pop? poor gal...

And by weak, I'm not just referencing power (though she doesn't have much of it)--you can have a softer voice and still a great one (e.g. Karen Carpenter), but she easily goes off pitch and shrill. |

With no airplay you say...how did HIA manage to be at #22 on the mediabase chart . Maybe HIA is not being played in your area but in other parts of the country it is. I still have not heard HIA in my area but hopefully soon. I now see my HAC/AC station, Star 101, promoting Kat's album.

I'm actually really liking this album. I wasn't a fan before; I've heard her debut and didn't like it, but I enjoy the stripped down, rawer sound of this album combined with the melancholy songs. It's not very current sounding though which is probably problematic for sales; however it might open her up to a new fanbase.
