^Why? They can release both on the radio. NYTGI then the remix. I hope so. Siren + Carribean flavor = smash!

While there is no doubt this will be a step up in excitement from "4 in the Morning" this is still a generic single when compared to Gwen's previous releases. The sirens and beat have been done before, atleast Gwen adds her own touch of uniqueness during the bridge.
I like Love Angel Music Baby and The Sweet Escape equally, but better single choices were definitely made for L.A.M.B. Besides "The Sweet Escape" I liked all the L.A.M.B. singles better so far.
"Early Winter" is the superior ballad over "4 in the Morning" and "Yummy" is just pure Gwen but "Now That You Got It" probably tested better which is why they went with that.

lol remember when there was a rumor that Sweet Escape tested REALLY badly and that they switched the second single to Yummy??? Haha that would have been a disaster.

I'm sure Yummy still has a chance. Interscope would want to keep this album around for A LONG TIME since she's going back to No Doubt and we probably never will see a solo record of Gwen for a while.

APPARENTLY, Gwen's set to release a remix CD (attached to the original Sweet Escape album) with a remix of every song on it. According to: forums.nodoubt.com/forums/1057729/ShowPost.aspxIf it's true then it doubles the chances of the Damien Marley mix being pushed as the main version of this song.

The remix is hot and would make a great summer single/video...but I very much doubt that remix album news.

I wish Gwen can remix both the Damian Marley and the Swizz Beatz version in the video and switch from a carribean themed to a modern/urban city w/ sirens music video!

She should make two videos. Release the Damian Marley mix next month (the caribbean themed vid), and once the summer is over release the original album version (urban city setting). That'd make the song BIG and spice this era up a bit.

Haven't heard this one yet but the fans don't seem to indeer it, calling it 'not even music' or 'the worst thing for Gwen's music career' (I liked Wind It Up so maybe they are right :o ). The title sounds like a huge filler...a remix might help but that's all not good signs though. Which sucks cuz like I've said before I have loved every single Gwen's released.
Anyway I'll wait to hear it and see what the charts do before judging. Are people here SURE this tested well!?

Gwen fans range from people who want her to go back to ska, to people that want her to stay solo forever and be an urban artist...so i would take what they say lightly (just because they are all over place, more so than most any other pop artist out there...so its hard to get a concensus on anything from them).
This is not the greatest song she has ever recorded, but it is VERY radio friendly in my opinion...and the remix is killer...you should take a listen to it.

This song is in lieu to HBG/Rich Girl more than WIU. I think if they released Yummy, it'll either flop to hell or be a huge hit.

This one gets annoying extremely fast. Yummy isn't a blockbuster smash waiting to happen either. For those of you who think it'll be the next "Hollaback Girl," I think you're sadly mistaken. Yummy is not nearly as catchy, the lyrics are trite (not saying HBG was lyrically amazing but it was clever), and Gwen's delivery isn't as good. Early Winter & Wonderful Life are the highlights for me, from this album. I completely agree. I think this and 'Yummy' are two TERRIBLE songs, horrible Gwen material. I wish 'Wind It Up' was never released. It was a total waste of a single, a lead off single at that. As much as I can't stand this song, I hope it does well for Gwen's sake.

i luv yummy!!!! stop saying bad things about it lol i know it's a stupid song but it's kindda hot. imo NTYGI is just stupid and a big mess , not hot at all .. but this will do pretty good. radio has been waiting for an uptempo typical gwen song! she should have had NTYGI or yummy to follow TSE and release her ballad later on

I know right? I love Yummy...why all the hate? Oh wellll.
I like NTYGI, but nowhere near as much as Yummy...but the remix does make me like it much more.

Nope wasn't mistaken, they were definately talking about this song - on Gwen's board...and WOAH. Just heard this song - definately my least favorite song from this era. This is just bad, was that the remix realnewlight?? If so uhhh lol...how the hell is that radio friendly? Just cuz it has the usual rap siren in it? no no no, there's nothing radio friendly about this song lol!

Ok apparently that's not the remix, I found it (its a reggae like remix right?)
MUCH better...still my least favorite song from this era by her though, but at least this is listenable! (Note...remember, I loved Wind It Up too lol, just to remind that I'm not being biased...)

Meh... at least Yummy had an iota of creativity. NTYGI is a filler track and will probably not help her sales that much.
She should have released her singles like this...
Wind it Up Sweet Escape Yummy Early Winter / 4 in the Morning
