Why would Brandy "fume" at this? If anything it should motiviate her to get her own solo top 10 hit.

monica mainly didn't do well last time around because of management/promotion, and the first single being the next reason, i think. brandy this latest time around mainly didn't do well because of the music. she had way more promo. "sideline ho" and "hell no" had no promo, the latter didn't even had an adds date i don't think, and of course same with "still standing".

^^ Monica's last album was too ghetto IMO. I liked Sideline Ho (well the title at least), but turned off by the album. She can sing better in terms of quality.
Trust is a HUGE step up. Monica can sing anything, but everytime tha beat drop pop stop is beneath her.

I love Monica and always have but I think it's pretty clear that, with Keysh's streak being as it is, she could have Khia on the track, complaining about her welfare check being late and it still would have been a top 10 Urban smash. Look @ Playa Cardz Right. She recycled a song AND an old 2Pac verse and it still did well for her. I do hope that Monica can get some success on her own again.

I think Mo can do it. Her only album that flopped has been TMOM. Her first three had multiple hit single and sold really well. TBIM had 3 back to back #1's and ATS had book-ending top 20 hits.
TMOM was wayyyyyyyyy to ghetto for most of Monica's regular fanbase and also had awful promotion.

Yes! This is, by far, her best single of the era (so far). I hope it can at least climb one rung higher to be the highest charting R&B hit of the album.

Are they still going with "This Is Us"? Keysh usually announces the next single when it goes top 10.

Its increasing again on urban and going up on urbanac so I think top 5 is possible. And I wish some people would give Monica some credit for making this song interesting and without Monica fans support this would not be doing so good because god knows Keyshia's team is not putting much into the promotion, I guess she can't take hearing you got killed on your own song. I am yet to see them perfroming it anywhere on tv but bet.

You just proved my point, all the sites have been giving Monica her props but some of you can't seem to do that. Monica fans have been supporting like hell while Keyshia fans are saying we don't like it for the next single so who made this song a top ten hit? Almost all the the Keyshia Cole boards I have been to it has been all no Keyshia don't release Trust. Atthe bet awards people took notice because Monica performed the hell out of it like Keyshia seem not interested.

I would hope the Monica fans would support "Trust" because Keyshia does not have a problem getting hits on the chart. With Monica being on a track thats successful as "Trust", it would make radio pay attention to her when she releases her own song. So it works both ways. I look at it like Keysh doing Monica a "favor" and there's NOTHING wrong with a little boost or "hype". Its a win win situation for her.

Ok I got that totaly but the question is why Manny and her team not promoting this? this could have been a easy #1 with some tv appearances. I don't understand its like they think it can do a lot without it.

At least the songs are doing well.

So thrilled this is the biggest R&B hit of the album. Also notches a new peak of #70 on The Hot 100 this week.

Are they still going with "This Is Us"? Keysh usually announces the next single when it goes top 10. I really hope they'll go with Erotic as 4th. This Is Us would flop really bad on Urban.

Erotic and Trust and the two songs that stood out to me initially on the album. I would like to see Erotic as 4th single as well. I think This Is Us would flop hard... if they had been prepping her for pop radio at all, I could see it being big there, but they haven't released anything from this album yet that could be a crossover hit. I could see Erotic being a minor crossover hit.

Congrats to Keyshia and Monica. "Trust" is my favorite song of that mediocre album. Hopefully, next album she will try to stray away from the generic ballads/love songs.

I think they should just end this era with "Trust". They finally have a solid hit. I hope it goes #1.

Top 30 on Rhythmic with a positive bullet. Where did the first two singles peak there? I don't have Mediabase stats, but neither managed to enter the Top 40 of the Billboard/BDS Rhythmic chart.
