Is it possible for Taylor AND Beyonce to win the same amount of awards? There is usually one big winner of the night, but it's possible for it to be two this year.

DMB is so irrelevant now... Not sure why they're finally getting nominated.

What? They are very relevant lol they still have massive tours and their singles always do pretty decent
Funny The Way It Is #1 triple A Why I Am #2 triple A and i forgot where their third single is
plus they hit the alternative chart and the Hot AC chart and their album has sold 980K since June more than Green Day and almost as much as U2

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Pink will perform at the Grammys later this month, Access Hollywood has exclusively learned.
Pink will join the likes of Beyonce, the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Taylor Swift, who have already been announced as performers at the show.
Lady Antebellum will also perform.
Beyonce heads into the big show with 10 nominations, including record of the year for “Halo,” song of the year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” and album of the year for “I Am… Sasha Fierce.”
The 52nd Grammy Awards will take place January 31 from Los Angeles.

YEAH! I love Pink! :) I hope this means she won something.
^ DMB is awesome. How can they be irrelevant when Bon Jovi, Bruce Springstein, U2, John Mellancamp, and Paul McCartney still get nominated like every year? lol They sell out every show, and had one of the most successful North American tours again this year.

I think Tay has that AOTY pretty much in the bag.
I defy anyone to find a year where someone in possession of a vagina and a guitar was nominated and didnt win it.
But they are going to have to give DMB something or they arent going to get them to choke up and cry onstage about the dead guy, and you know that's gonna be a big moment.
But Tay for the big trophy, how can they resist?

Lots of females play guitar and don't win Album of the year. lmao
ie, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Michelle Branch, Jewel, Madonna, Meliissa Etheridge, etc. The list goes on and on.

Awesome! Pink always delivers a memorable performance. And ZBB playing hopefully means Keri lost BNA...

If she does the tour version of Glitten in the Air, no one is topping her performance. (Again).

so...i must say....1st im a beyonce stan....and i know a few things about music....and to be honest...i listened to dmbs 1st single from their album and its completely what the grammys look for...for aoy...that feel good, classic music, thats timeless...its my 1st time hearing it and i like it....and u have to take into consideration that with 3 singles...only 1 hot 100 top 40 and prolly because it went to #17 on itunes....that they still went plat.....gaga is an obvious no....obviously i would want bee to win...she had a great album...but i eel as though they may think shes still too young to get it....i do believe if she continues she will get one regardless...she is a grammy fav.....i think taylors too young..not saying she doesnt have a chance...her writing her songs and selling how she does is her advantage....but i think theyll wait to see how her 3rd album does....so they can see who really is buying her cds...if it was cause of her, the controversy etc...bep they had big singles...huge 26 consecutive weeks....but they only went plat..thats a fail....dmb who had no #1 let a lone 26 weeks still went plat...thats how u gotta put stuff into prospective...that was long, lol

also....dmb only has 2 grammy nods....and to be blunt...less is more...if they win rock album then they may or may not get aoy as well.....if they dont get rock..they may get aoy.....if gaga gets electronic album she wont get aoy..if bee gets best cont...no aoy....but her 1st 2 albums won it....so if she gets it again...before she even gets their aoy is not out the question.....if taylor wins country album she could win aoy....we just have to wait and see who has won how many grammys before they got there....if bee already wins 3 before she gets there..like she did her 1st album...expect for her to win 1 or 2 televised same with taylor and gaga....they are 2008-2010 's champs...u have to watch the order of performances....its all like a domino effect really...although every now and then they like to throw in a monkey wrench for no reason, lol

Many have performed and still lost. That doesn't mean anything.

I think Dave Matthews Band is long overdue to win a big award at the grammys. They have won a few minor categories, but nothing big ever. This album is the best of their career, and they have definitely paid their dues with the industry, waiting for this moment. So I think they have a strong chance to win.
However, Beyonce's album is also very strong and she is a Grammy darling. Taylor had the most hype of the year and seems unstoppable, so it could go either way.

Many have performed and still lost. That doesn't mean anything. I don't know how conspiratorial one should be about assuming that the people inviting the performers know already who will win. I do think it's safe to assume that the people inviting the performers are making an educated guess at who they think is likely to be seriously in the running, so that at least most of the major winners get to perform. That said, they're not gonna be deterred from inviting somebody who's a ratings draw even if they are not expected to win anything.

Being a band for 20 years, one of the best touring acts, best selling groups, etc...they are due for a big award. Beyonce, GaGa and Taylor all have plenty of time to get awards. DMB has worked hard for 2 decades so if they don't get this, I'll be furious. Beyonce, GaGa and Taylor can all win some of the other 90 awards they are all nominated for lol

^yeah but I dont think Pink is winning anything nor will she draw in rating. I have always liked her music but she always seems to be forgotten and overlooked in favor for bigger named artist. She was great at the VMAS but the next day people were only talking about Bee Tay and Gaga

I don't think DMB is going to win AOTY, I'm not even sure they will win Rock Album. I think U2 will win Rock album. I'm surprised they were even nominated over U2. U2 also has the better reviews of the two albums.
I think the pick of DMB over U2 just makes it an easier win for Taylor. Had U2 been nominated I'd be for more hesitant to pick her for the win but if I was betting, which I'm not, I would pick her.
P!ink is VERY underrated. I'm not sure if she just has fans who don't come online or what but I'm happy to see her at least performing. I don't think she won either, I pick BEP's for album and Taylor for Pop Vocal (or Beyonce).
