I've really gotten into these guys alot more over the past few years and this song just makes me want to hear more and more. Not sure if it will do much chartwise but I sure hope they can make some kind of dent.

I don't like as much as the singles from their last album, but it's ok. It did seem annoying that they kept repeating words over and word. I don't know if I'll ever like a song of their's better than "Pure Morning." I remember a bunch of kids about ten years ago in my 9th grade Earth Science class singing that and the teacher yelled at them for singing the lyrics "A friend who bleeds is a friend indeed. A friend with weed is better."

I like the one-two punch on the album of songs called "Kitty Litter" and "Ashtray Heart." It looks really great on paper.

This thread should be renamed 'cause "For What It's Worth" is the 1st single.
Today, it reached top 50 on Mediabase Alternative:
69 49 PLACEBO For What It's Worth 158 81 77 1.270
24 stations playing.

I wonder if "Ashtray Heart" is a self-referencing song (since that's their original name before becoming Placebo) or an actual hot Captain Beefheart remake. I always used to think it was cool that they actually titled an album of theirs Meds.

Upon first impression, this song wasn't too memorable and seemed kind of short...

The album hits tomorrow (June 9) in the U.S.! Please support and buy it! I think Meds was their only album to ever break the Billboard 200, and that only topped at #180! Hopefully this one does even better hah.

Yeah, WYIN, like the two later Placebo albums, only made the Heatseekers chart and never the full thing. You gotta keep in mind though that outside of alternative listeners not a whole lot of people knew who they were, and by Meds they had enough of a stateside following to probably chart. (I bet the Nielson totals would probably suggest WYIN sold more, though.)
