I think I might have found a song title that's too pansy for even Chuck Wicks.

Oh dear, this is awful. It's Mr. Mom blended with the Sippy Cup Song to produce 4 minutes of pure syrup. That being said, it's probably his best chance for radio success, but I'll certainly be changing the station if i ever hear it.

I'm imagining a fantasy radio station that plays nothing but Richie and Mindy McCready. After all, they had a duet a long time ago when they were in a different place in their careers. Now, they're separately taking scariness to a new level.
I can think of other artists who might get a spin or two....

It seemed as though Lonestar was becoming pigeon holed as a band that constantly recorded these types of songs, but evidently he's not done mining that vein for hits. Kudos for using the word metamorphasize in a song, a claim previously held by only Diamond Rio.

The title alone scared me.... the kick off was enough for me to hit the "back" button.

It seemed as though Lonestar was becoming pigeon holed as a band that constantly recorded these types of songs, but evidently he's not done mining that vein for hits. I get the feeling that Richie wanted to do the sippy cup crap and BNA agreed, but the other guys didn't. That's the only possible explanation as to why he's still releasing only the most treacly songs in the world. As to why he's still singing in the most strident, melodramatic voice this side of Craig Morgan, I don't know. (Side note: When I saw Lonestar in 2005, with Richie still at the helm, they were surprisingly bracing and gritty, not at all like the slick, polished, ostentatious band that they had long since transformed into at the time. Even the few treacly songs they peformed -- and they surprisingly performed only a couple -- seemed more tolerable.) Kudos for using the word metamorphasize in a song, a claim previously held by only Diamond Rio. Hey, Diamond Rio still have claim to the only song to mention High Karate aftershave. Or have such a glaring subject-verb disagreement as "These occasional moments of weakness / Only makes our love more strong". Or use the word "gottahaveable". Or put out 33 solid-to-great songs followed by one clinker (hint: "God Only Cries" was their 34th single). Have I knocked this far enough off-topic yet?

Well, I had to listen to this based on all the negative reaction. And, would I get shot if I said I actually kinda like it?
The title is definitely cheesy enough, but it works when you listen to the song. But I think I'm the only one in this case that like it haha.

And, would I get shot if I said I actually kinda like it? If I didn't get "shot" for liking "Bob That Head", I don't think anyone ever will get "shot" for liking something that no one else does.

It's a figure of speech...plus it was all said in jest.
I do kinda like the song though.

The title was cute until I realized who Richie McDonald was. I thought it'd be some new lumberjack looking country guy. Now I'm just creeped out.

Richie McDonald would even get rejected by christian radio at this point.
He should just sing little kids songs.

Richie McDonald would even get rejected by christian radio at this point. Not exactly. "I Turn To You" made it to #4 on Inspo. But I get what you meant to say. ;)
