I've loved this song for a long time now. It peaked at No. 10 on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.
For the last few weeks it has been stuck at No. 11, and for some odd reason, this week (chart dated 28 March 2009) it has disappeared completely from the Top 20 according to the website's published chart.
Is this a mistake? I've been dying to see this track go higher than 10... and all of a sudden it's gone? What gives? It's not like it was on the chart for longer than a year, or is there a special rule for songs outside of the top 10 to go to another chart when they reach a certain age?

Their recurrent rule is as follows:
20 weeks, and out of the top 15
26 weeks and out of the top 10
52 weeks and out of the top 5

Well that sucks. A song can sit in the Top 5 (should it be so lucky) for a year, but a song that's struggling to crack the top 10 or has the potential to rise higher ("Where I Stood" sat at no. 11 for several weeks) gets booted because it spends 26 weeks outside of the top 10?
Those rules sound like bullshit to me - how is that fair to the other singles that are trying to climb the AC chart (into the top 10) but can't because of the ones sitting in the top 10 that haven't budged for almost a year??

^ For a hot minute I thought you were talking about that "hot" Police record called "King Of Pain" from 1983, but as soon as I saw Sade's picture that was it! LOL! ![:d](http://images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif)
