Excellent guesses...Some of them ya had to think for a minute on. I tried to keep them simple. The ones that are left are from the mid 80s, like most of them were.
Here are some hints
4. This woman learned to respect some kind of power and then she took this one to #1 and it's my favourite record by her. You should check out the 8 minute club mix and it's a mid tempo song.
5. These guys did not make the Billboard Pop Singles Top 40 until the year 2000, after chillin out for nine years with different side projects. This song is what got me hooked on them and their album. All of the tracks on that album were bangin!!!!
10. These women had 3 Top 40 pop hits and their biggest spent 29 weeks on the Hot 100. You'd think that this song would have made it, but it missed the top 40. It took these fine divas three years to finally get a king sized hit!!!
11. These cats were based in my town and that club where you saw THIS video is still open. Just about everyone who partys clubs there.
12. This band went from being a jazz funk band to being one of the top R&B groups of the 80s even on the Pop Singles chart. After the frontman left the band a year later after THIS record was released, they stopped making huge hits. Their last two hits both missed the Top 20 on the R&B charts.

5. Guy "Groove Me"
11. The Time "The Bird"

5 sounded to me like the rap verse in Pebbles Featuring Salt-N-Pepa's "Backyard," but now I got it. It's Klymaxx's "Meeting In The Ladies' Room"
