Debuted this afternoon on Altnation as the band's new single.
Give You Hell was immediately turned off when played on Altnation, but this one on first try had some decent love song lyrics. The guy's voice is still grating as ever to me, but the words seemed right. Some synth sounds add nicely in my opinion.

Eh. About half of the other tracks on the album would have been a better choice. I really doubt this will do anything on Alternative and it could possibly make a killing on Pop or Hot AC. I'm really surprised "Gives You Hell" did that well overall.

Does anyone know if this ever went for adds to Alternative? ??? I think it didn't but I would like to know... Anyway, it flopped hard on CHR and Hot AC. It's the first big flop of their career. Funny 'cause it was the follow-up to their biggest hit ever. Too bad it wasn't sent to Triple A, I could see it doing something there. Probably it wasn't a good choice for a single but I think it's one of the best songs in the record. It was also the only song to stick with me when I first heard When The World Comes Down.

Didn't go for adds on Alternative. They sent "Real World" for adds instead.

I remember Swing Swing being a little popular on the radio. Even though I hate that song now.

What I mean is on pop. "Swing Swing" did well on Alternative, although it was the only song from the self-titled that did.

Oh yes yes. Haha, I remember hearing Move Along on some kind of Bionicle commercial...going online, downloading it, and thinking, holy crap, this is goona be a huge hit...2 weeks later, EVERYBODY knew the song.
I'm pretty much sick of their older stuff to be honest, It's been way overplayed.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're referring to the album, 'cause "Dirty Little Secret" was certainly no slouch on the Pop charts.

Is this going for adds? Why isn't this thread locked yet?

It was a single for pop. Hasn't gone to alternative yet.
Why do you care that it's still open?

I have heard The Wind Blows more times than I heard Give You Hell. I have never heard Real World. But I agree, none of their songs belong on alternative radio from what I remember.

That's not really a reason why you should care. So you're saying that because you are a member of the board, it is your sworn and proud duty to seek threads out and silence them? I mean, why not just ignore it? Or better yet, discuss the potential of the song being added? Why not create instead of destroy, which just seems mean?

I'm just sayin, the thread's not hurting anyone. It's just here. Lonesome. It just wants to make friends. Why can't you be its friend, soldier?

It's just too easy to offend you guys. I'll stop now...
I actually thought this song would do better on CHR/Pop.
