Jason's new cd is in one of those crappy cardboard cases. I hate when record labels do that.

I love the song "Big Green Tractor"! I bet you anything that'll be the next single!

HDD first-week sales prediction:
Broken Bow/RED country phenom Jason Aldean’s third album, Wide Open, could also do 100k, based on the success of the lead single, “She’s Country,” currently the #1 ringtone at iTunes, with download sales of more than 400k. He’ll also perform on NBC’s Today Show Friday (4/10) and, later that night, at opening day for the Atlanta Braves.

100k? What did his last album open at? That's quite an accomplishment if he can hit the 100k mark. Dierks Bentley only opened with 71k and I would consider him a much bigger star than Jason. I think those 100,000 people are getting their money's worth though, because this is a terrific album. Drums are a little loud on a few songs, drowning out the guitar, but overall the production stays out of the way and actually complements the songs (a rarity these days). I don't think there is a single song on the album I don't like. Keep the Girl is probably my favorite, and I really hope it's a single, and I'd like to see Wide Open be a single as well. Fast and On My Highway are both good, but they seem to cover the same exact territory. Don't Give Up On Me and The Truth are compelling lyrics, but they probably lack the hook necessary to be a single. Big Green Tractor is a bit cheesy, but Jason manages to make the song quite charming. Probably my least favorite song on the album is This I Gotta See, which is still a fine song, but I think the song suited Andy Griggs voice a bit better.

Thanks, I didn't realize that it debuted so strong. Still, matching your last album is quite an accomplishment in this economy. None of the other stars that have released albums in the last couple of months have been able to match their previous marks.
