What is she waiting for? A big hit of course. I bet she'll go in the Blue County pattern (#11 debut, #20s peak, #30s third single, #50s fourth.)

I thought "Cry Cry" was still climbing the charts?!
Oh well, I think "What Am I Waiting For" is an MAJOR highlight of the album. This one deserves to be a hit.
Sadly, I can't see it doing anything. Well, actually.....after getting all the recognition with the nominations she received at the ACM's and her getting a performance slot, maybe radio will give her some attention?

I thought "Cry Cry" was still climbing the charts?! You mean the same song that's been bouncing between #29 and #31 for six weeks?

Awfully quick to get this one out.
I don't even recall what it sounds like.

I couldn't remember this on either and I went back and listened to it. It has such a boring melody. I don't see this doing much of anything.

I think "when tears fall down" is that hit that could be from her CD. very relatable and easy to sing along with. oh well. the songs I like never get a chance. Anyhow I think this song is decent and might have mediocre performance (is #25 a stretch?)

Maybe it's just me, but TP seemed to have much more success with their uptempo stuff. I guess I was expecting more of that from her debut album... but maybe she's trying to separate herself from the Keith & Ira days.

If this is the best she has to offer, I'm glad I haven't gotten around to buying her album yet. I want to like Heidi's music, but nothing I've heard from her has been great yet. I can see this making the top 40, based on buzz from her ACM nominations, but not getting much higher than that. "Cry Cry" is now starting to slip, but I think that may have been a result of this single being announced. I think it still would have moved up a bit - nothing major, though I think it could've hung around and made the top 25 at least.

I can see this making the top 40, based on buzz from her ACM nominations, but not getting much higher than that. I agree. They played it way too conservative on this record, and many of the songs are rather bland in their production and don't allow Heidi's voice to shine. This is a solid song, but lacks any real "hit" qualities. It's still not a bad song, and I expect it to crack the T40, but I'd be surprised if it does better than Cry Cry. Hopefully they will move on to a new album after this single.

I am really enjoying this song. It could do well after all the ACM nominations, but I don't think it will even go top20.

I listened to this last night because I couldn't remember it, and after I listened to it, I once again, don't remember it.

I listened to this last night because I couldn't remember it, and after I listened to it, I once again, don't remember it. Yea I had pretty much the same reaction. Completely forgetable. Then again the only thing I enjoyed from the record was Knocked Up. ....Well Johnny & June was alright too....after radio FORCED me to like it....

I think the title is ironic, as she will be waiting for another hit for quite some time.

What are y'all thinkin? This one's a big hit although the peppy remake of "Can't Let Go" would've been a good single choice too.

this album is full of good fillers IMO. "Johnny And June" is the only amazing song on the album. but EVERY other song is a good song, but dont scream BIG HIT.

I actually like the album. I really didn't care too much at first but I was listening to it the other day and I think it's a pretty solid album. Maybe, just not too radio friendly.

I really can't understand all the hate everyone seems to have for this song.
I'm listening to it again and I still think it's one of the best from this album.
I think I agree with the post above mine: This is a pretty solid album, but just not too radio friendly.

still "waiting" to hear this on the airwaves....doesn't seem likely. they goofed up. "When Tears Fall Down" should have been single #2 if you ask me...

Finally heard this song. I think it's terrific -- much better than Johnny and June, though I'm sure I'd be outvoted on that one. Still, I don't see why there isn't a market for Heidi on country radio. She sings well, the arrangement's good, the lyrics are terrific. Maybe there's no room for songs about ambivalence. Add in a tractor or two and she'd be top 10.
