That's a surprise...If KIIS and Z100 spin this song...it could do much better than 'Jai Ho.'

Nicole was on Ryan Seacrest, does that explain the KIIS Play?

Nicole was on Ryan Seacrest, does that explain the KIIS Play? If somebody has a playlist/station log for KIIS from Friday, we'll be able to know at what time it played.

If Nicole was there, then they probably played it while she was there...Maybe as a premiere...Usually, with the exception of shit like Heidi Montag, when KIIS does this - they add the song a week or two after.

I hope this peaks outside the top 50 so they never even consider releasing another ballad again! (me venting)

Why? The ballads on this album were actually all good...A lot of the uptempos were crappy... I like the variety...But they shouldn't be releasing a ballad to radio, when the last song that radio played by them was a ballad.

I am starting to like this more and more. Still upset Jai Ho flopped but I want this to do well so they can release either Painted Windows or Elevator!

Yeah. I know that we don't want a ballad right now, and this is a bad decision...
but hinestly guys, this is one of the best songs on the album... It is great Ron Fair stuff! I hope it can go at least top 30 Hot 100.

(me venting) i hope this peaks outside the top 50 so they can quickly move on to painted windows. and im sorry, but people really need to start letting go of the whole elevator being a single thing, because there is pretty much a .000001% chance of it being a single. i don't agree that this is one of the best on the album either ): i think they had much much much better choices. if it had to be a ballad then why not happily never after?

If this peaks outside of the top 50 OBVIOUSLY no more songs will be released from this era...In fact...after two misses, they wouldn't even bother with the re-release of the album..."Painted Windows" would never be released at all, forget as a single... So, if you want 'Painted Windows' to be a single, you better hope that this does well... And honestly, 'Happily Never After' only has the guitar rff going for it...Plus the lyrics are really bad "She said to herself you've left before, but this time you will stay gone that's for sure..." and then it totally contradicts itself with "dragged her suitcase down the path, she had never gone that far - normally this would be part where he would talk her out of it." So has Nicole left before or hasn't she...I think Ne-Yo jotted down the song in 10 minutes... This is better for radio. The vocal arrangment packs a lot more punch. But they definately should have gone with "Painted Windows"...I mean, Jai Ho's mediocre success isn't enough for a re-release...so... Maybe "Painted Windows" can be the lead-off single for the third album, if 'Hush, Hush' doesn't work out.

Happily Never After, now there's a hideous ballad. How would a song that's 10x worse than any of the massive flops Nicole released do well? This song has superb production going on for it, and it's catchy. The messy handling of the era and IHTP being their last hit are the only things that hinder this. Otherwise it would be a sure shot.

This was always one of the possible single-choices on the album. The problem is the handling and timing of everything. Do u think its not the perfect time to release this?

I heard this single for the first time tonight on my radio station. It's okay, but coming off another ballad that's had longevity and an uptempo single whose run lasted only a month and underperformed, I just don't know anymore. It did not connect well with me like "I Hate This Part" did when I first heard it.
That and the whole mess that this era has become, which is why from this point on, whatever choices are being made for their next singles will come under scrutiny. Some like this, others don't. People think they should have released either another single that's similar or something completely different.
As for the re-release, it seems that it's just all hype, because now it's been pushed back...at this rate, it might as well end up getting shelved like Nicole's first solo CD.
In any regards, I hope it does well enough for them to score another hit in this era, but if it does not happen, it's not the least bit surprising to me anymore. Let's hope that for their next album (whenever that will be), they learn from all the stupid mistakes made in this era and use that as a way to redeem their musical credibility not only for themselves but for their fans.

"Shaking my head with resignation" so the re-release is not coming true? Frankly, I have never really put much stock into it :)
Poor girls! Tney must be feeling robbed!

No re-release means no "Painted Windows..." So that better be the lead-off single for the third album, or this song better be a smash so they can release it next.

OMG...this is just getting totally ridiculous now. Why screw with a good thing. If Nicole was smart at all, she would milk the Pussycat Dolls eras to come and THEN try to go solo. After the four smash hits from the first era, she's done? She thinks it would be a better idea to focus on getting a solo career...whether it be on her shelved solo album, or on the second PCD album...which seems just like a design to get her solo. She'd have a better chance at a solo career, if she focues on making sure PCD was actually successful...part of that would be to not shove herself down our throats...She's as bad as Beyonce is! However, luckily for us - the version radio is playing, the ballad only version, is credited just to the Pussycat Dolls. Plus, radio will be hesistant to play anything featuring Nicole...because radio knows that means the end of PCD is coming...and they love PCD... Also, it can't be featuring the ONLY person singing...It makes no sense... It would be like if I released a record by Cow featuring Cow.

I personally think HNA is a bonafide smash hit. And this song should have been in place of IHTP, or not released at all. Halo could have saved this album, meanwhile. Fools at the label--next album please!

they're pounding the last few nails into the coffin...
no one likes this ft. nicole thing. not radio stations, not the public, no one. all it could possibly do is hinder the group's success. its disgusting. this has been the most disappointing era ever and i so badly want to stop rooting for this group. but i cant help it /:
the only good thing is even if they label it ft. nicole, no one says it that way anyways. they still just say its by the pussycat dolls like they did for jai ho, even radio stations which are supposed to be official. so it's really not a big deal i guess.

I don't think 'Happily Never After' should have even been on the album...Listen to the lyrics, and how they don't make any sense and constantly contradict everything.

I was talking to kmbgs. And there's no way that those lines are metaphors.
