Instant classic when I heard it on the show. Now it's heading to Modern. Although, a shame, this band seems TOO alternative for Modern radio to even play. Maybe this will be the radio break they need.

I honestly think they could have a hit (Alt, AAA, HAC, CHR) with Carol Brown

This was a free download on Amazon recently. (Maybe it still is.) It's pretty good. It's also my first exposure to them, though, so I don't exactly have a frame of reference for it.

The comedy show they have is pretty funny, if you have a bit of a warped sense of humour. I saw one of them in a movie called Eagle vs. Shark and I laughed my ass off. But here's your frame of reference for the comedy, if you liked Napoleon Dynamite, you'll probably like this stuff. I still don't know how serious they are about breaking through musically but the stuff isn't too bad.

And my brother, who also loves the movie, was recently introduced to the FOTC show by his girlfriend and seems to enjoy it, from what I remember. That being said, I don't think his girlfriend, nor anyone in her circle of friends enjoyed Napoleon Dynamite, if I recall correctly, which baffles the both of us. Anyway, I'm sure I'd like the show just fine, if I ever saw it.

I remember my mom saying that there was a new show coming on, and watching the pilot for this. Ahaha. Couldn't get enough of it after that xD It's an amazing show.
The music is so funny too in my opinion. Ha. I still love the theme song at the beginning of the song the most though.

I hated Napolean Dynamite so much that I couldn't even finish the film, but for some reason I could really see myself liking FOTC.

^ ^^ ^^^ I don't understand what's wrong with you people.
Heck, just tonight on Loveline, after Anderson played Pedro's "Is she hot?" soundbyte, Stryker and Dr. Drew talked about how good that movie was and were quoting several lines from it. (Dr. Drew admitted when he first saw the film and saw Pedro having a prolonged fever, he was concerned that he had leukemia and that the film was gonna get really sad.)

Nick, if you ever come across the Eagle vs. Shark movie, give it a shot. It's pretty funny. I love the dry dark humor of those kinds of movies.

I hated Napolean Dynamite too. I didn't think it was funny at all. And I'm a huge fan of comedy movies. Anyway, I could see myself liking FOTC though, so I should probably check them out.

I don't understand what's wrong with you people. And I you, but that's irrelevant. It was a second-rate comedy that got hyped up to the point that, by the time I finally saw it, had huge expectations that it did not live up to. In my eyes anyway.

And I'm a huge fan of comedy movies. I guess it all depends on one's barometer of comedy.

And I'm a huge fan of comedy movies. I guess it all depends on one's barometer of comedy. Yeah exactly. I mean I'm a HUGE fan of comedy films especially over the past few years or so. Movies like Superbad, Pineapple Express, Zack & Miri, Role Models, Knocked Up, I Love You Man, Sex Drive, Yes Man, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Eurotrip, and s**t I could go on forever, as well as the classics like Spaceballs and Airplane! are all right up my alley, but then there's films like Napolean Dynamite or basically anything with Will Ferrell that I just cannot stand. Like you said, it's all in the matter of opinion.

Wow, you might want to check the classics if you think those comedies are funny. Although Pineapple Express made me laugh a lot. But Superbad, Zack & Miri, and the rest? I'll pass. Flight Of The Conchords to me doesn't compare to any film. The closest analogy I can even come up with is Tenacious D. And even that's a bit off.

I saw them live last night and they were great - they played this and the crowd seemed to love it.
I see the ND comparison but I think FOTC is kinda in a different league.

Judd Apatow (and tangentially related) films are completely overrated. Superbad had some funny moments, though, especially the scenes with Fogell in them. Graphic sex and marijuana-centric humor has been done to death and is too LCD for me to laugh at, generally speaking. Will Ferrell movies are generally too dumb and slapstick for me to laugh at. Seriously, I had no interest in ever seeing Step Brothers and it was literally one of the 5 or 10 worst movies I've ever had to sit through in my life.

The only thing Will Ferrell has done that I've ever liked is Anchorman, and I'm convinced now that had actually nothing whatsoever to do with Will Ferrell himself.

Wow, after Empire of the Sun, here comes the Conchords. Just waiting for Ladyhawke to release a US single and wow what a year! I reckon they should have released "Business Time", "The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room" or "Inner City Pressure" earlier on. I agree though that their songs are more suited for Triple A radio, but I'm crossing my fingers that "Hurt Feelings" performs well enough. They truly deserve the break.

You really think A.A.A. listeners would dig this song?
