*Waits for the "Hot remake" posts* Announced via Trevor on a recent webcast that this would be the first single from the new album. Welcome to the Masquerade is due out in the Fall. You can nearly hear the entire song on the above webcast. The single will be promoted by Taco Bell (along with future singles from Fireflight and Hit the Lights), since TFK was one of the winners of the "Feed the Beat" competition. Hopefully the album won't sound as rushed as it has been. In addition to getting a single ready for the competition (which specifies that Taco Bell will promote a single in the summer), Trevor and Steve just completed an FM Static album ( Dear Diary, which was released this past week). Song sounds solid, though a bit generic. Sounds like a grower to me though. Based on some recent FM Static material I can rest assured knowing that there will be better songs on this album. One of my most anticipated albums this year. EDIT: "Bring Me to Life" scrapped, "Fire It Up" it is.

^This particular song sounds more tAoB IMO. Although, he also mentioned that there would be a full orchestra on some songs, so I wouldn't hold 'em to it. I prefer Phenomenon myself.

And I prefer Papa Roach. Oh come on, TFK are similar to many bands, not just OLP. Not to mention superior to.

I hope it's more Art Of Breaking and less Flame In All Of Us. Ditto, but either way I'm just excited for new material from them no matter what it sounds like. I hope this new album breaks them over the top here in the States where I feel they deserve a lot more recognition. They have certainly gone up on the huge list of my favorite bands over the last few years for sure.

I liked both of those CDs. So I'm sure this song can't be too wrong for me. Hope it scores for them!

I prefer Mike Jones to TFK. Now that I have my useless artist comparison out the way, let me just say that I hope this cd is more "Phenomenon" and less anything after that. TFK has one good album. They've failed two times in a row since then. "Absolute" is the only good song they've made in their last two albums and for a band that had so much potential, it is unacceptable. I loved seeing them live during the Phenomenon tour but I would never see them now as they would just play their crappy new songs.

The Art Of Breaking has a lot of great songs on it, and a lot of them are better than "Absolute".

P.S.
Is this a hot Bebo Norman remake?

I bought this cd (shamefully) and totally disagree with you. Breathe You In, Move, and The Art Of Breaking are the only ones besides Absolute that don't cause me to hit the skip button.

"Hurt" comes to mind right off the bat for me, but I can tell from your selections that you're looking for a specific kind of rock song from them.

P.S. Is this a hot Bebo Norman remake? A Mike Jones fan that likes (or is at least familiar with) Bebo Norman? Now I've seen everything lol You can download the song for free HERE, HERE, or HERE.

Great song. I like the fading guitar effect in the chorus. It's a generic Thousand Foot Krutch song, and doesn't exactly top "Move" "Rawkfist" or even "Falls Apart" in my opinion, but I still like it.

The guitar effect you're referring to is called "Tremolo." The entirety of Sevendust's "Black" uses it, along with "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" in the verses, as well as Dredg's new single "I Don't Know," and the intro of Breaking Benjamin's "Polyamorous" just to name a few.
While Evanescence doesn't own a copyright on this song title, it's just so blatantly named after an extremely popular song with a not-so common song. It's almost like naming a song "American Idiot" or "In The End." I think it's a bad move.

It actually took me a few minutes to figure out which artist you were referring to with "In The End", actually.

Yeah i have to agree, "In The End" could easily be a generic song title that I'm sure we'll see again at some point.

I mean, it could be Rush, Linkin Park, Green Day, or The Living End. And those are just the top matches.

Bring Me To Life isn't that bad, they coulda named it "Call Me When You're Sober". At least it's nothing like the Evanescence song.

It's just so blatantly named after an extremely popular song. Well, "Bring Me to Life" is the first line of the chorus, and it makes sense in the context of the rest of the song... I wouldn't call it "blatant" at all, since I doubt they wrote this in hopes that the title would make an impression.

This isn't bad. But if this is the best punch this album has, it too will disappoint.

This song is absolutely awesome! It's exactly what I wanted to hear as a debut single. I'm hoping they have a nice mix of songs like this and some ballad types of stuff similar to "Breathe You In" on the new album.

I also really like "Hit The Floor". "Too strong to hurt you, too weak to crush." Great line.
