The debut single from Bobby Valentino, former member of R&B group Mista. This peaked at #1 on R&B and #8 on the Hot 100. I liked it when it was out but it reminded me of "Give Me A Chance", which leaked in mid 2004. I think "Tell Me" was the better single.

I think "Tell Me" was the better single. I prefer "Tell Me" also. "Slow Down" is definitely a JAM, too.

Loved this, but I liked "Tell Me" more as well. Those are the only two songs I've liked from him though.

This was all over the radio back in the summer/fall of 2004. I remember hearing this a lot on the west coast during that time. It's initial success in Los Angeles started with KKBT giving the song heavy spins in July 2004 and from then on "Slow Down" became the most requested song on the station. It's success at KKBT Los Angeles resulted in crosstown rival R&B station KPWR (Power 106) making "Slow Down" a hit record also. It then went onto be added at adult R&B outlet KJLH by the end of 2004. I miss hearing this song on the radio. What do you guys think? Love it or hate it? I'll be waiting on your responses.

I liked this a lot.
Hit #1 R&B and #8 on the Hot 100 in 2005.

I loved both this and "Tell Me". Tim & Bob were incredible at their peak.

I hate too admit that I was sick of it when it was popular. It sounds really good if you haven't heard it in a longtime. This song makes me remember of the fun hot LA summer of 2004. By the time the album was released in April 2005 "Slow Down" was showing no sign of "slowing down" at radio. In fact it hit No. 1 on the R&B charts in May 2005 and stayed there for 4 weeks straight.

I was just listening to this song. I can’t believe this song is 15 years old now. Can we get a slow R&B song like this nowadays?

I love this song so much. It brings me back great memories.
The production reminded me of Maria's "Simplified" but more polished.

I was only 10 years old when this song was getting played on 100.3 The Beat LA in the summer of 2004. I was 16 back then. Things were so simple back then. I’m almost 28 and wish I can go back to the late 90’s and early to mid 2000’s. The music was too damn good in those eras.

It’s 2022 and I’m still playing this song in heavy rotation.
