Here's what I saw: Cobra Starship - "Good Girls Go Wild"
Though I hated the movie, I liked their "Snakes on a Plane" collaboration with The Academy Is..., The Sounds, and Gym Class Heroes. Even though I don't really like any of those bands. That said, "The City is at War" is solid as well.

I like Cobra Starship pretty well. "Guilty Pleasure" is my favourite. This song's pretty cool on first listen.

This song is a hot mess.
I generally like Cobra Starship, but I did not like this song. For a first single, it sounds like a throwaway.

Excellent live show, very high energy level (I saw them twice). Looking forward to this!

Get this off Alternative. This needs to go straight to Pop.

I don't think this will do anything on Alternative, but Pop could be another story. With 3OH!3 and Metro Station getting crossover hits in the past year there, I see no reason why this couldn't follow suit.
On a side note, the bridge of this sounds almost exactly like the bridge in "Hollaback Boy".

Funny you should mention Metro Station. I saw them supporting Cobra Starship last January, before Shake it Hit the radio. We the Kings also played that night, also before Check Yes Juliet hit the radio, but that song stood out as a winner even then. (I don't remember hearing Shake It, or even thinking Metro Station was particularly good).
Cobra Starship, now they were something else both times I saw them play. However, "Good Girls Gone Bad"? Sounds like a song from a big hair band of the 80s.

That was pretty much my experience when I saw them open for Motion City Soundtrack, Mae, and Anberlin in November 2007. Looking back, they seemed unusually popular with the teens. I was taking a couple of pics pre-show with my phone, and this 16ish girl saw me and gave me her phone number because she wanted me to text the picture to her. (No, I didn't keep the number. )

Anberlin... guess you have been following them a while! Just bought Anberlin, Green Day, Blue October, All American Rejects, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silversun Pickups, and Britney Spears (couldn't help myself, I love the three songs I've heard from this album) Sunday. So far, only opened Green Day

It's been three or four months since I've set foot in a record store... or whatever they're calling themselves these days.

Anberlin... guess you have been following them a while! Heh, I started listening to them in '04, and first saw them in 2005 on their Never Take Friendship Personal tour (the album with the first version of "The Feel Good Drag"). They were playing small enough venues that I was able to meet Stephen Christian afterward and ask him when they were going to release "Paperthin Hymn" to the mainstream formats. He said they were working on a video for the summer of '05, but it didn't get released until the beginning of '06.

I love when that happens! I've had similar moments with members of SR-71, We the Kings (though I didn't know who they were), Shiny Toy Guns, Carolina Liar, The White Tie Affair, and Ludo... but I'm sure you already know that (maybe not White Tie Affair, don't remember seeing any threads for them here).

This is getting Pop play on Sirius XM Hits 1. I don't know they even bothered to send this for adds at Alt. It's straight up Pop.
