This is supposed to be released either next week or the week after, but Masterbeat put it up early I guess. In case you don't know the name, you might recognize her as plain old Kaci, who as a child had some singles (and remixes) released. I first heard her 2002 cover of "I Think I Love You," but other singles of note include: "Paradise," (2001) "Tu Amor," (2001), "Intervention Divine," (2002) "I'm Not Anybody's Girl," (2003) "I Will Learn To Love Again," (2005) and "I Can't Help Myself" from 2007. She's going for a more grown up, more relevant pop/R&B sound. Popjustice compares this song to "Womanizer," "Keeps Gettin' Better" and Rihanna's "S.O.S." I dig the remixes. She's signed to Curb Records. Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Album Version) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Cahill Radio Edit) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Digital Dog Radio Edit) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Extended Version) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Cahill Mix) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Digital Dog Mix) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Cahill Dub) Crazy Possessive (I'll Muck You Up) (Digital Dog Dub)

Energy 92.7 has been playing the original of this. I really like it. It's fun. Kinda cute. The remixes are pretty good. I like that both Cahill and Digital Dog incorporated the swing beat into the mixes. I prefer Digital Dog's.

No remix of this would work at all without the swing beat. It's the only wat to go.
The dubs are really cool - worth checking out! (They do not swing, for the most part)

Rod Carrillo sorta makes it work without the swing beat on his vocal mixes. Extra remixes from a supposed CD promo -- Dirty Club Mix, Craziness Club Mix and Craziness Dub.
The key signature used in the mixes are a tad odd to me. What I did notice is that the chorus vocals used sound like the backing vox only, and in the Dirty mix they're uncensored (they clearly say 'I'mma f**k you up') unless they're alternate lead vox not used in the original/other mixes.
The dub uses another key signature again, and this one sounds weird/bad to me.

Rod did something that sorta works? I find that hard to believe.

I'm not familiar with Rod's other work. The vocal mix sorta works to me, swing rhythm or not. It's the dub that's a trainwreck.

I'm not familiar with Rod's other work. It's better that you're not familiar with his other work. Seriously. You're better off.

^ Really? That would probably be the winner here. :) Warren Rigg told me today they had done a mix for the girl...I'm assuming it's this song or does she have other singles out? I've never heard of her til he mentioned her to me. i really hope the mix won't edit out the F word....i can imagine this mix being along the lines of Brooke Hogan "About Us" This is her latest single. She has had a few others over the years under just her first name. Back in 2001, she had a single called "Paradise." It has remixes by Richie Santana, Motiv8, Dataluxe and a few others. Richie's mix is really good. "Tu Amor" and "I Think I Love You" came out that year too. There are a few mixes but I haven't heard those. "I'm Not Anybody's Girl", "I Will Learn To Love Again" and "Can't Help Myself" came out a few years later.

According to Bryan Stewart at Rico's forum, Moran & Rigg are doing an explicit version, and there are explicit versions of the Radio Edit and Extended Mix as well.

The Tony Moran & Warren Rigg mixes are decent. There's something about the vocals that just doesn't feel right. They seem a tad dry during the verses. During the chorus and the rest of the mix, it sounds fine though. The production works, but there is a lack of natural ebbs and flows throughout the mix. Some parts feel like they just go on and on and on and that actual amount of time was only like 30 seconds. It was just the same sound over and over again. It may work better edited down from the current length.
I still prefer the Digital Dog ones.

After several weeks of trying to get into the remix package, I finally went with the original version on my personal chart.

That UK remix package is basically missing only the Cahill remixes. Seems like the only new mixes are the Haji mixes.

Funny; I found a listing for another UK promo CD featuring the following listing: 01. Crazy Possessive (Seamus Haji Club Mix) 02. Crazy Possessive (Cahill Club Mix) 03. Crazy Possessive (Almighty Club Mix) 04. Crazy Possessive (Digital Dog Club Mix) 05. Crazy Possessive (Tony Moran & Warren Rigg Club Mix) 06. Crazy Possessive (Rod Carrillo Craziness Club Mix) 07. Crazy Possessive (Seamus Haji Instrumental) 08. Crazy Possessive (Seamus Haji Radio Edit) 09. Crazy Possessive (Almighty Radio Edit) 10. Crazy Possessive (Original Radio Edit) SOURCE: www.almightyrecords.com/remixes/402/Having tracked down and heard the Almighty mix, it's quite nice. They've quantized the vocals to make the vocals line up with a straight 4/4 rhythm, and it kinda works on the verses, but definitely works on the chorus.
