It's all about perspective. To me, any artist who has their music out in the marketplace & are making a profit - a living - off their music, is far from a "flop artist".

I totally agree, H@and. There can only be one #1. That does not make everyone else a failure. If they can make a nice living, by doing what they love, that is success.
It is sort of a 'sickness' in the Idol sphere, IMO, that fans can only support the most successful ever. I support artists, whose work I love, and then hope they can make a nice living.

Seeing as how Jive didn't push the 2nd singles of their other flop artists (Archuleta/Sparks) I think Kris will get a 2nd single, but they won't throw their weight behind it this time around. you're fave's brilliant cd is getting chopped and skrewed on itunes right about now from the likes of alvin and the chipmunks and charlie brown... fye's at number 71 and 93 respectively ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif) ... and just what was the hdd prediction this week for sales - was it even on it ??? maybe i missed it - lemme go check... anyhoo, the most anticipated album of the year getting drubbed by 40+ year old animated characters, and can't manage to hold it's position like the other cd's released the same week.... and after all this media hype - egads, what to do? two singles from this most highly anticipated album are also in the toilet on itunes... from the most anticipated album of the year... methinks you need to go back and revisit and expand your interpretation of ''flop'', cause how in the world you missed this is beyond me - and apparently most in the music buying audience. keep up the good work spinning and shading - we all must have our joys.

Adam is a total flop. He would have sold like 100K if it wasn't for the AMA performance which brought him back into the spotlight.

Adam is the one who got all of the expensive promo. Kris got the free promo. So, Adam needs to sell a whole lot more glamarama disco albums to make a profit.

I really, really want him to do well. I just started paying attention to LLWD on Hot AC and Top 40, and I was surprised to see it doing as well as it is. I don't think LLWD is all that strong of a song, so I hope it can be successful enough to be able to release a better song from the album. Then, hopefully, we'll see better sales.

I like Kris a lot. He is mainstream and appeals to a lot of people. He didn't get the superstar promo, but slow wins the race sometimes. I will enjoy watching him grow. Kris is doing fine, it's too soon to tell but from what I have seen, he is moving right along as expected.

Sure. But at least his debut single is doing well on the radio. ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png) So, who knows how many albums and singles he'll sell in the long run.

Kris is appearing on So You Think You Can Dance tonight. Yay! Of course, Adam got the better date, at next week's finale, but what else is new? Kris has always had to "make a feast from these crumbs". I hope he knocks it out of the park.

Amen, and you can tell the ones who really do feel that way. I think Kris is one of them, as well as David Cook, and probably Kelly Clarkson as well. Anyway, I just came in to say that I finally got the album....love it to pieces! Solid album. AlRight With Me is a cute little ditty of a song....total Neil Diamond style song, via Cherry Cherry.....love it.

When it's about the music to the artist, this ^ is all that really matters. That and feeding your family. There's thousands of weekend musicians out there that only want to make music but never got a break.

I think he has done well- better than what some expected- he is now a celebrity- as long as he stays off drugs or drink- he can milk it a thousand different ways to the end- and still keep putting out music.

OL Breast, this album is definitely one that I loved on first listen, but it is also one that gets better and better with repeated spins.

Love that song from Bonnie Hunt show....I am with the others of a MP3 of that song...loved it.
Man, everytime I see pics of him....I am taken aback all over again at how delicious he is. I keep finding myself grabbing this CD and putting it on ALOT since I got it.
Definitely, don't know about the drug/drink part.....just that he can go different ways now.....I can definitely see why people use Idol as a format, it does help to get an audience/fans.
