I relly think will be difficult for BEP to hold the Hot 100 #1 next week. Mariah new song is already #10 on itunes and the airplay difference is not huge.
BEP will need an increase on sales to kepp the #1.

Airplay AI: BEP: 62 million Mariah: 21 million She wont be #1 on the Hot 100, im sure. If she does, it'll be an amazement to me. |

There's no way she'll be #1 this week. That's like impossible. Next week, maybe. Depends how well she sells this week. But I think her chance of going to #1 will be the week after, because her video will be out and the buzz will grow, along with airplay. We'll see..

I haaaated 'Boom Boom Pow,' but I am loving this! Such a good track. I wonder why they decided to release BBP as the first single instead of IGAF?
I know BBP turned out to be a huge hit, but IMO it was also a bit risky because it was such a different sound and style of music. It seems to me most artists release safer, sure-to-be-a-hit singles first and take risks later.
