I think this is about as big as Poker Face was, if not bigger. It has definitely made more of a cultural impact. I hear people singing this or posting it on Facebook/Twitter much more than I did PF. I think this is bigger, sort of on the same level, but I agree with you. Poker Face was huge and there's no denying it. Maybe people think its even bigger b/c it had gotten more spins and such. I agree this has more of a cultural impact. People go crazy for this song... everyone knows it. Mostly everyone I know likes it, on the contrary Poker Face many people I know like it, but not most.

I don't think it will outsell PF, PF has too big of a lead on it and is still going pretty strong. IGAF may have some per station spins over PF, but PF still holds the big record, spin-wise. And don't forget PF was #1 in nearly every notable music country in the world. IGAF has topped the charts in a few places outside the U.S., but nowhere near as many as PF. So I consider PF the bigger hit overall, for the time being at least.

I don't deny this song's pop culture impact, but I don't understand how some of you guys are saying PF didn't have a big one as well. Who wasn't going p-p-poker face when that song was big? I heard people reciting the PF hook more than I have people quoting any lines from IGAF. And it seems to me like everyone knew about Poker Face, whereas I only know people in the teen and twenties demo that know IGAF. I guess a lot of it's just personal experience though.

Whoever said "I Gotta Feeling" is bigger than "Poker Face" really doesn't understand how big it was. It hit #1 in more countries.

I've never even heard this song all the way through. Most of my friends don't know this song other than the "Tonight's gonna be a good, good night" part.
Everybody knew Poker Face. My grandmother even knows it.

Poker Face may have been bigger internationally, but I think this is bigger in the US. I'm not even just talking about chart positions, but if we are talking about charts, the only thing PF beat this in is spin count, and the panel was bigger then...so...

PF made a bigger impact IMHO.
No doubt this song has made a huge impact as well, but PF seemed bigger to me. Maybe it's just area?

That may be too... like LMFAO is huge here in LA, but it seems everywhere else they're just doing okay or less than that. But Gaga is huge here too, but the Peas obviously overtake her, they're Angelino's after all, so maybe that's why.

Mhm.
Lady GaGa, Brit, Shakira, and Cascada are always huge here whenever they have a new single. I would hear PF 10 times just in a 10 minute car ride on 7 different stations. I think it all depends on where your location is.

Of course PF has made a bigger impact, as previously said, but I do think that this song is kind of in the same level as PF as great pop songs, and I wouldn't be upset if this broke the record, I love both songs.
and I love the fact that this is a fun, cool summer song that makes you feel good. :)

This song now ranks second in terms of SPSPW (Spins Per Station Per Week), assuming that figure of 82.24 is correct.
'Over & Over' remains #1, at just over 94 SPSPW, so that record isn't going anywhere.
Leona Lewis & Linkin Park (In The End) rank third & fourth in this category.

Yeah, it depends mostly on the competition. Even if it starts going down, at this point it has a huge lead over them. I'd say at least two more weeks at the top of the Hot 100. If Taylor catches up then on CHR I'd say two more weeks at #1. If she doesn't, then it's going to be around 3 weeks for KOL or Cobra to catch up with IGF.

Not to mention how repetative and stupid this song is.

I think this is bigger, in the sense that its more relatable. It means more to more people and the message is quicker and more easily found.

This has been more successful on the charts but I don't think its cultural impact comes close to that of "Poker Face"; it's a classic party song and that's about where it begins and ends.
