IMO, Black Holes and Revelations was great from start to finish, but not a top shelf album, while Absolution is a top shelf album. I know Muse has it in them, let's see if they bring it to the table.
sign me "Still kicking myself for missing Muse at Roseland (or was that Hammerstein?) Ballroom in 2007"

They open up for U2 this fall. Must-see for me, even if it'll be about 3 hours away.
Black Holes was incredible. I think I liked it more at the time but it is still fantastic. I guess you could say all of that to a lesser extent about Absolution for me.

Their whole catalogue is fucking fantastic.

I can't wait to hear The Resistance. Loved all their past albums and no doubt this will be worth the wait. Wish I could go see them...Wish they were on their own tour and not opening...Hopefully they go on another US tour. Here's waiting til September!

They will be headlining after the U2 tour dates in mid-October (incidentally I'm going the last date where Muse opens), when Black Eyed Peas open instead (in that case I maybe wouldn't have been as excited). But not in the U.S...

8. I Belong To You ( Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix) After reading this, I had to look it up. Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix is a popular mezzo-soprano aria from Camille Saint-Saëns's opera Samson and Delilah, known in English as "Softly awakes my heart", or more literally "My heart opens itself to your voice". It is sung by Delilah in Act II as she attempts to seduce Samson into revealing the secret of his strength.[1] In actual performance of the opera, Delilah is responding to Samson's words "Dalila! Dalila! Je t'aime!" (Delilah! Delilah! I love you!) which he repeats between the first and second verses of her aria. An aria? Now I'm interested.

I have a dumb question, why do people try to get an idea of songs by their titles?
It's a recurring trend in the CHR part of the board.

Because it's the only thing that means anything about CHR songs.

yeah lol well I think you can get a bit of an idea off song titles, like remember before Sick Puppies released "You're Going Down" we could all tell by the title it would be more like Street Fighter (War) than their first album singles.
But those are some pretty cool titles IMO, donno why whoever said they arent good did

Because it's the only thing that means anything about CHR songs. Hahaha. So true. I'll probably check this out. I like a few songs by Muse, and based on my recent interest in different sort of things...I think I'll probably enjoy this. It sounds like it will be a masterpiece.

Apparently the band has chosen the song "United States of Eurasia" as the first single.

musewire: "To clarify!: Treasure hunt = United States Of Eurasia. First single = Uprising." The band will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 13th.

The words start with U. The words are not U. That is a clear distinction.

Are they trying to go all Usher on us?" The difference is that they aren't just the letter U. If they wanted to do that they'd be not moronic like Usher, and actually just say "You"

Not sure what you mean by out, it was only the first verified title of a song on the album after the little guessing game the had. Was never said to be the first single.

So United States of Eurasia is out.... thoughts? Yeah. It sounds like Queen and my fears about this upcoming album being pompous and self-indulgent at the expense of great rock songwriting have come true, at least on this lone track.

I'm seeking out the song at the moment, all while wishing the song didn't have such a telegraphed title. They've never done that and it was a good thing.
