This is his new single. I don't think he's done secular music in awhile. This song is very good. There's nothing about it that makes it sound like he's trying to be up to date. Even the vocals sound like they were produced back in the 70's.

True, like most of his Hi recordings, nonetheless. The last secular tune that Al Green did was a "bubbled under "charted single called Your Heart's In Good Hands in which Diane Warren wrote for him back in '95, but it didn't really do all that well. I guess you can't balme the Right Reverend for trying. I haven't taken the time to hear this new one but I'm sure it'll be UAC friendly.

Al Green was one of my favorite singers of the '70's. No one could sing with more soul than he. So I hope this one does well, though I doubt it will be given a fair chance.
