Seeing some pictures of her in her You Oughta Know outfit... WOOF! OLD SCHOOL BRITNEY IS BACK! Her body... OI! AMAZING. Though I WISH she would get rid of the weaves. They look silly. Her normal hair must be long enough by now?
She was very smart with this tour. As it has progressed so much more has been added. Whilst the dancing is Onyx Hotel amazing it is getting so much better. She isn't so stiff anymore, she is relaxed, working hard, LOVING it all and really is starting to show shades of our girl. She is at home on her stage and it is wonderful to see.
She does however need to sing live more. For some reason people have seeon this tour and have been surprised that she is lypping it BUT she has done this for a lot of her career. If she wants people to really shut up and listen, she a. needs to get those dance moves back to 100% conviction and b. when she isn't dancing/performing up a storm, sing live on the slower songs. Train that voice up a little.
This is of course all wishful thinking but she IS improving and I love to be able to witness that.

Is Britney really serious adding "You Oughta Know" to her setlist after Queen B's critically acclaimed live cover? So the point of attending Beyonce's show a few months ago was to get ideas to add to her own? Complete with the aviator sunglasses, too. Coincidence? I think not. Why can she sing THIS song "live" but not any of her own?

I knew the overly aggressive Beysus stans would come in here. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) They just can't stand the fact that Beyonce sounds so goddamn out of place in Alanis' signature hit rock song. LOL at the belief that Britney needed to copy a song from Beyonce's tour when she is out selling her head over heels in touring grosses. Delusions.

Poor little Yawnse $tans. They just can't accept the fact that people are willing to pay 200 bucks to see Britney live when at the same time the same people throw away the ticket for Beyonce's show they found stuck on the chewing gum they bought for 3 cents.

I'm not trying to start drama, but I think Britney did a better job.
Beyonce's voice doesn't fit the song, imo. The entire performance she shakes her weave, and has a seizure on the floor. Her voice seems emotionless on the song as well.
I felt the anger in Brit's voice. It was just Britney and her mic. There was no stage magic, half-ass dancing, or walking in sync shit. It was just Britney.

Anyone can cover a song as long as they get the proper permission. Alanis and Glen Ballard wrote the song so she'd be quite aware of this and obviously had no problem letting Beyonce AND Britney sing it at their concerts. The people who OWN the song make the decisions. So be mad at them that they let Britney sing the song if you must raise some sort of hell lol. Not Britney's fault she asked and got what she wanted.

I do think Britney's version translates better, just because Beyonce has an even less rock friendly voice then Britney though. Beyonce sounds at home when she is doing R and B, Soul and Gospel songs anyway it just works better with her sound and tone. Britney just has more freedom in the rock area though she is far from being someone like say P!nk. Britney's rock voice kind of reminds me of a weaker version of Cyndi Lauper's. It has that same nasal-angry/pleading rasp kind of yelp sound to it that just works better in Rock songs like these.
