This is third most added at Urban with 52 adds. It's second most added at Urban AC with 17 adds. It goes for rhythmic adds next week.

This is third most added at Urban with 52 adds. Do you know if it pulled in any NYC stations yet?

ALICIA KEYS Karma Producer(s): Kerry "Krucial" Brothers Writer(s): K. Brothers Jr., T. Smith, Publisher(s): Book of Daniel Music, Lellow Productions/ EMI-April Music (ASCAP) Genre: R&B/HIP-HOP Label/Catalog Number: J 82876-62467 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: November 13, 2004
"Karma" marks the fourth single from Alicia Keys' multiplatinum sophomore album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys." It also handily dispels the "one single, the rest filler" tag affixed to most contemporary albums. As with its predecessors, you can hear the creative attention the singer/ songwriter applies to her craft. This time around, Keys layers her contemporary R&B with a classical vibe, courtesy of symphonic strings. That off-center yet aurally stimulating mix is paired with her full-bodied, street-edged vocals and life-teaching lyrics: "What goes around?/ Comes around/ What goes up?/ Must come down/ Now who's cryin'/ Desirin'/ To come back to me?" Once again, Keys exhibits, with flying colors—no karma chameleon here—why her career is in long-play mode.—GM

Her album is so good, I wish it would have sold more than 3.6 million.......and i hope this single does really well so it can help boost Diary......and she can get at least to 4X platinum .....I think if she re-released her album with "My boo" like usher did and a few other bonus tracks it would be selling really well............

How many hits has she had off this album...5 or 6? She's darn good.

Even more impressive is that she also has a #1 duet from another album in the middle of her singles too, so 5 hits in a year if "Karma" really takes off.

She has Usher to thank for "My Boo" being a #1 hit. She has nothing to do with it. No matter who was on it, it was going #1.

I don't find it impressive at all. She has Usher to thank for "My Boo" being a #1 hit. She has nothing to do with it. No matter who was on it, it was going #1. But if most other artists were on it instead of her, it would've cancelled out some of their own airplay. But not Alicia! She had 2 other singles in the Top 11 of the Hot 100 with "My Boo." Impressive!

What ever happened to the plans of re-releasing this album with the "IIAGY" remix and a few new songs?

This is just about done at Urban. It's #33 with a +55 bullet. Thankfully at Rhythmic, the bullet is +430.

Any theory as to why it died out so quickly on Urban?

I'm thinking it's a combination of My Boo still being huge, Diary still being in the top 20, and this being quite different from the Alicia songs that Urban radio has embraced (ballads and mid-tempos).

LOVE this song! I especially love the violin part. I wonder if Miri Ben-Ari did it (she worked on Fallin'). Miri should have been in the video though, they have other people playing the violin so that's what makes me think maybe she didn't do this track.
Man, I've loved all four singles Alicia has put out from this album. I meant to buy it so many times but never did. I finally downloaded it yesterday, but Alicia is one of the few artists that's album deserves to be bought - the right way.

I can't get into this song as much as I'd like to. I loved all 3 other singles from the album.

Power 105 in NYC FINALLY added this. I guess they didn't even notice Alicia had a new single out til now since they were so preoccupied by still playing "Diary" 15 times a day. ;) Anyway, "Karma" needs NYC support to climb the chart so this add is big news for it.

I hope this song flops. "heartburn" should have been the next single. This is garbage.
