this is good, it sounds stronger than his last lead single. it's sort of different. i don't know why the chorus is so strong.

It's better than a lot of the boring crap he attempted releasing before this. This is like his fourth or fifth attempt at radio picking up on a song. I still don't see this doing much.

when/what else did he try? I don't even remember the titles. I think one of them was something like "Every Time". There were like 2 or three boring ballads he tried before this. He sent out promos but this is the first one that's actually going for adds.

He recently performed in the Bay Area for a whopping $100! Muy expensive. Thanks for the link. I'll listen later. I loved "Don't Talk" and "They Don't Know," but I don't even remember the clips of his newer songs.

His new CD tiltled "Stronger Everyday" on the Sanctuary Urban label (unknown to me) is in the shops tommorow October 5th. This sadly has little promotion, for a unwidely known label it's really no surprise. I can't help but wonder if they are going to cancel the release.

It is indeed out today and his label is under Urban Sanctuary. You can listen (if you have Napster) and download the album for less than $10. I am glad my sister called I better buy this one and send it right away, she loves the boy!

Sanctuary Records is Mathew (Beyonce's dad) Knowles' record label or management company, whatever...and yes, Jon B. is signed to it.

Ok, Ok, I'm feeling this one. I have always loved Jon B., it's just that sometimes his music sounds dated and that why he hasn't been as successful as some other blue-eyed soul brethern.

JON B Lately Producer(s): Presidential Campaign Writer(s): various Publisher(s): various Genre: R&B/HIP-HOP Label/Catalog Number: E2/Sanctuary Urban 87520 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: November 06, 2004
Best-known for 1998 R&B/pop crossover hit "They Don't Know," Jon B is also a songwriter who has penned tunes for Toni Braxton and After 7. The Babyface protégé taps back into his artist alter ego with the first single from his fourth studio album, "Stronger Everyday." A song about a cheating lover who wants his girl back, "Lately" doesn't stray far from the singer's signature sound. It carries an agreeable groove as well as the artist's always pleasant vocals. And that's not a bad thing, as evidenced by Jon B's still-played 2001 single, "Don't Talk." But in this instance, the lilting likability of "Lately" isn't enough to make it stand head and shoulders above the crowd.—GM
