Kimberley Locke, who's releasing "You've Changed" as the next single from her debut album, One Love, has booked her first solo tour. The outing kicks off Saturday in West Springfield, Massachusetts, and wraps up November 30 in New York.
Her official website and newsletter said this single will be sent to Urban radio.

brock, according to this Billboard blurb, her album has sold 185K copies in the US. I think maybe Curb is trying to see if it can build an audience for Kim Locke on the Urban formats. Hard to say if it will work, because I don't think this particular song is compelling (I think the lyrics sound really stilted and unnatural), and because I wonder if Urban radio is going to write her off since her first two singles were pop-rock.

I had to pull the album out and listen to remember how this goes (I hadn't listened to it since the week I got it),
It's not awful, just bland. Her vocals are good. I would have gone with the only other "good" song on the album, "I Could".

She performed an hour away from me on Saturday, but I didn't go.

This is boring compared to her first two singles. What were they thinking releasing this.

KIMBERLEY LOCKE You've Changed Producer(s): Shannon Sanders, Andrew Ramsey Writer(s): K. Locke, S. Sanders, D. Ramsey Publisher(s): various Genre: POP Label/Catalog Number: Curb 1889 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: October 30, 2004
Kimberley Locke accomplished what only a handful of "American Idol" finalists have before her: scoring a bona fide radio hit with "Eighth World Wonder" at top 40 and AC. Curb now escorts its world-class talent down a new road—for both the artist and label—with "You've Changed," an old-school, R&B finger-snapper that Gladys Knight might have embraced. Locke's slightly raspy vocal aches with disillusionment as she realizes the good thing she had with her man has gone bad. Throughout, Locke, who co-wrote the song, shimmers with enough star quality to graduate once and for all from the stigma of being an "Idol" alumna. With this one, she is stepping out with a change for the better —and heaven knows, radio could use some real soul amid its current roster of one novelty du jour hip-hop song after another.—CT
