It's a shame that with all this promotion she constantly does, the album has yet to surpass the sales of MD. I'm sure it will in the long run but that's not saying much either. Hopefully Already Gone will be an airplay smash, not just a hit, cause she really needs it.

Promo for her new iPhone app. "ARE YOU READY?" Man, Kelly must have recorded a lot of promo in that one outfit. Only Kelly would describe Already Gone as an easy song to sing. haha..I love it when she yells "ARE YOU READY?" at us at the end.

Kelly using a State Fair appearance to carry on her work with the March of Dimes: www.marchofdimes.com/indiana/45952_61069.aspIndiana volunteers were invited "to the meet and greet with Ms. Clarkson who posed for pictures with them and personally thanked each for all that they and Key Clubs do for the March of Dimes."

Hopefully Already Gone will be an airplay smash, not just a hit, cause she really needs it. I use to think that too but really, it's still playing catch up. MD had the biggest opening week, which was 291k. That leads to better sales in the second and third week etc.... I believe at this point, AIEW is selling better than MD by a week to week basis. Let's not forget that MD has had a two year head start

Also, the economy and the record business were much stronger in 2007 than they are now, plus the week-to-week comparisons start to be off now because this far into the MD era it was holiday shopping season.

Kelly's my #1 girl forever, and I just wanna say-she NEEDS to make a country album. Seriously. She'd make a rockin', rip roaring country album that would be all badass and I think she'd be immensely popular. There's not alot of country girls doing that sort of thing anymore, and I think she'd be great. Most of them are doing Carrie Underwood/Taylor Swift type stuff, but a real, rockin' country girl? There's a need for one of those. Whenever Kelly gets tired of the pop thing (maybe after album #5) she should seriously consider it.

Yes but that album had zero hits while AIEW includes the most-played song of the year (at least thus far) of the biggest radio station in the US. Anw, as long as it manages to sell 800k I'll be satisfied. With a re-release I could see it crossing the million mark sometime next year.

I agree that the sales of this album have been disappointing given Kelly's track record, the success of the singles, the amount of high-profile promo she has done and the quality of the album. Just noting that MD is not an apples-to-apples comparison.

Because if so, :o at MLWSWY being the biggest Z100 song of the year! Also I'm excited that sales are increasing, because Get Schooled is showing on A LOT of stations which will hopefully increases sales, and if not that Divas definitely should. That is two big shows right there, not late-night talk shows, but really big shows. :)

I remember her saying she wanted to make a bluesy-country-rock infused album after My December. Still holding onto those words <3

Close Your Eyes is a beautiful song. Just as it is in the demo.
It's clear that Kelly had one direction in mind for the album at the time she did those demos and went in another.

'Close Your Eyes', followed by 'For All I Know' are my two favourite unreleased Kelly demo's/songs. I hope they someday get into our hands in a HQ format :)

It wasn't that long ago that Gretchen Wilson was immensely popular.

Kelly also has a guest spot on Idol coming up, does she not? Or is that too far off to be considered as promotion? I don't know dates for American TV shows. :x

if kelly ever made a country/blues/rock album she would easily win the album of the year grammy. her voice is so suited for this!! i hope rca gives her a chance to do this.

This is not going to happen under RCA Records. Kelly can do this under another record label. But don't expect this kind of album from Kelly before 2012.

Is this increase helped by the 7.99 price Itunes had on the album? Not that I care, I am glad for the increase either way, just curious.
I have those performances on a burnt CD and hear them often.....funny thing, when I listen to it....it is nowhere near as how good she sounds recently. Her vocal technique/sound/whatever has just gotten better and better. But I do agree, I hope her voice is in premo shape for the Divas thing...the public needs to hear again how amazing she is live.
So excited for this upcoming month, so much Kelly goodness.
And.....Don't is a beautiful song....

OK....that little promo for the app thing is so cute.....I love the little "Plug"....funny....and I love how Kelly ALWAYS includes her band when she is talking about performing or anything like that......WHAT solo artist does that?? I honestly can't think of anyone....that does it on a CONSTANT basis....
