I am really curious to find out what song they will come up with for a duet. I hope it is something just gorgeous. They both have amazing voices! What great promotion this will be for AG.

I caught about the second half of "From Justin to Kelly" on TV late last night, which I had not seen before. It's astonishing that it still gets shown anywhere, but I guess there's always airtime to fill - I can't imagine anyone watched it unless they were interested in seeing Kelly or just morbidly curious.
First of all, the movie was every bit as bad as I had heard. Just epic bad in every way - plot, dialogue, acting, dancing, you name it. The scenes without Kelly in them were in every case completely unwatchable, and would have been unwatchable even when I was 17.
Second, boy, what a reminder even then that the Idol voters did right picking Kelly over Justin. Justin seems like a nice guy, but no star quality, no personality, and he really was overshadowed trying to sing with Kelly.
Third, Kelly really did the best she could with that movie, for an amateur actress two years out of high school being asked to star in a feature film with no help whatsoever from the script, direction, co-stars, anything (even in a movie role, they couldn't put Kelly in decent clothes). Not saying she's a great actress or anything, but she was the only one onscreen who seemed like she wasn't acting and didn't look uncomfortable (except in those appalling dance numbers), just being herself.

That movie is so bad that it is good! I don't know why they didn't scrap that the first time they watched it through. Kelly is lucky her career ever got off the ground after being forced to do that mess of a movie.

From the Express: IDNHU at the Montana State Fair show last night
Not great video/audio quality, but really captures how much energy Kelly has on stage these days. She's definitely in peak performing shape. And that looks like one big, pumped crowd for a Monday night concert in Billings, Montana.

"From Justin To Kelly" will be a cult hit IMO, in about a decade.
Five years, rather.

Well it was kinda close- I think she got around 56 percent of the vote- I was shocked he got like 42 or 44 percent of the vote- I remember voting the whole 2 hours until my phone died and that was like 5 minutes to cut-off so it was around the right time, but I got in a 100 votes myself. How could ANYONE have voted for him over Kelly is a mystery to me but it happened.

So, that HitPredictor thing is a measure of how many blog posts there are griping about Halo, Kelly's weight & wardrobe, RCA, Tedder, Perez Hilton, Self Magazine, the AG video, and all the rest of the drama?
Hey, no such thing as bad publicity, right?

'Already Gone' is back in the Top 50 on iTunes: #49. I know it will be top 30 in a week or so on Hot AC, and I am not sure where it is on CHR/Top 40, but it has an almost + 300 bullet on that format :)

thanks for those videos...she is so funny.
"What idiot asks for only blue M&M's?" Oh Kelly, if you only knew how some celebs are!
"I love chicken"......so the vegetarian thing is no more huh? She realized that being a Texas gal...ya gotta eat meat! JK!
And a Adele/Kelly duet would be great....I bet it would sound beautiful.
P.S. I love From Justin To Kelly by the way.....well, most of it anyway. I love to see dancing Kelly....the girl can move.

I saw FJ2K on TV a while back, and whilst yes, it's bad, it's still no worse than the billion dollar High School Musical franchise, the difference being at least Kelly's cast could sing.

Yeah, she said in an interview recently that a bunch of people in her band were vegetarians, so she tried it, but it wasn't for her.

Speaking of HSM, could Ashley Tisdale's latest video be a more obvious homage to Kelly (even if her vocals are more Avril)? I believe she had talked about being influenced by SUBG ... and of course you have other young artists like Jordin Sparks and Demi Lovato rather explicitly choosing Kelly as a role model and musical influence. It's also encouraging to see Kings of Leon cracking the top 10 of the pop charts. If there's still room on CHR/Pop for pure rockers, it's probably premature to write off the guitar-driven pop/rock sound of a lot of Kelly's stuff as being somehow outdated.

I can't wait to hear what Kelly and Adele put together. The more I listen to Adele the more I get a VERY Billie Holiday vibe to the tone of her voice and her style and phrasing.

^ It is kind of surprising Kelly even had the amazing career she's had considering she was coming from a talent show and on top of that, she made one of the worst movies in history with J2K. No wonder so many people wrote her off so readily.
That last interview is hilarious. I can't believe she doesn't have a clue celebrities do ask for certain colored M&Ms/Skittles, etc. It's like she doesn't even have a clue she's KELLY CLARKSON and people would be willing to do anything for her regardless of how idiotic it may be. Even saying she was intimidated by being asked to join VH1 Divas at first, almost like she doesn't realize she can outsing any other singer right now. I love it when she says she'll bring her "A Game". I'm hoping she'll be the highlight of the show.

I bought Thankful and I'm surprised "You Thought Wrong" wasn't a single, same with "Just Missed the Train", her label really screwed up that era.

Just Missed the Train was my favorite. Clive Davis wanted "Some Kind of Miracle" as her lead off single. No wonder Kelly had trouble taking orders from him, he tried to end her career before her first single (besides the AI singles).

They fought over the single choices in every era. RCA didn't want Miss Independent as a single. OTOH, Kelly didn't think SUBG should be the first single off Breakaway, IIRC, so it's not like she's been in the right every time either. The success of Because of You after RCA didn't want it on the album at all was, I suspect what really gave Kelly the confidence to dig her heels in.
It's always something with Kelly. Sometimes her career seems like a TV show where the writers have to strain to come up with a reason to make you believe that Perry Mason is really going to lose this case, that Jack Bauer is really gonna die this time. How can we convince the audience, with all her talent and fame and charm and track record, that her career is really on the ropes this time? And yet, somehow they suck us in each time.

I don't think Kelly minded SUBG being the second (I consider it the second ???) single off Breakaway, she just didn't like how poppy the demo was. I also think that if Kelly hadn't changed it to sound more pop/rock, the song wouldn't have been the career changing massive hit that it was.
