I love the songs with Ryan, but if everyone keeps comparing Kelly songs to other songs, I don't want them working together anymore even if they've made some amazing songs together. I'd also prefer her not to work with Katy either. I'd rather her just write all her own material (those songs are my fav on the new album) along with a few My Life type songs.

I like the Tedder, Katy and Aranda songs, but I'd prefer to be done with all three after this album. Too much drama from Tedder. Katy's too big now to give away anything that's any good. And Kelly probably wouldn't have recorded the Aranda songs if she knew they had released them.

The similarities between If I Can't Have You and Fly On The Wall were much more immediate for me than the similarities between Halo and Already Gone actually. Unlike Already Gone (where the similarities dissipate after the introduction), the similarities heard within If I Can't Have You continue throughout the entire song; I don't believe these similarities will hinder its performance (if released of course) given Halo (which reached a much higher level of success than Fly On The Wall) had little affect on Already Gone (aside from a bit of bad press toward its co-writers).

Yes, we all know you're not here to denounce Kelly. Oh God, seriously. Some of you guys are insane. I was making a comment about the Glee version. You're ridiculous. Do you honestly expect to be well-treated in Kelly threads? It's not like the Kelly fans are restricted from The Lounge - we can see things you say in there ("Jelly Fatson LOLOLOLz!11!!!1" ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ), and in plenty other threads. But, as soon as one of us says something not-so-great about your goddess, we get your little "I DEMAND RESPECT FOR CARRIE" shtick. A little hypocritical, if you ask me. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

I'd rather her just write all her own material (those songs are my fav on the new album) along with a few My Life type songs. I want this as well. I know Kelly said she likes to shop around and see what else it out there, but I would much rather see her write at least 3/4 of the album, with the other 1/4 being the Max and Luke anthems. That way there won't be any of the comments that have been thrown at AIEW. Such as it not being "Kelly enough" and filled with rip-offs and rejects.

And RY, I'm cool with you and I explained that joke after a few posts even including an "insulting" name for Underwood. I like Kelly, I want her to do well, but I just thought it was random that everyone wrote off MLWSWY as awful considering it was NEVER going to be as good as Kelly's and you guys used hers as a basis. As for the writing situation, I don't think she necessarily has to write the songs, just believe them more, you know? For example, did she write Addicted from BA? If she didn't, she invests so well in her studio recording I like to just think she did because she connects SO WELL with that song.

Addicted is one of the two songs (Because of You being the other) she wrote as a teenager, before Idol. Well, probably not just those two, but those are the only ones on her albums.

She wrote it? :o Wow, this girl can write. I wonder if I would have liked MD more had the BA producers produced it. I said that? ![:-x](http://images.proboards.com/lipsrsealed.gif) I'm so sorry. Probably in a bad mood. My apologies. To Kelly and you guys. I sounded like a dick, my bad. Let's lighten the mood - Kelly made the bullseye on EW!

Lol, it's alright, Stephen. Apology accepted. ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png) Anyway, I, too, think MD could've been a lot better with different producers. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) I loved most of the songs, but the production was lacking a lot of times.

I wish she could release TOMT - I really think it would do excellently on CHR and could even make some noise on Rhythmic (as much as a song by a pop artist could anyways).

I guess this is the downside of IICHY as the next single, although really the Fly on the Wall parallels are not as obvious, IMHO, as the Halo thing. Then again, I saw that Aranda released AIEW as their latest single. They're not all that similar and FOTW wasn't nearly as big as Halo so it won't be an issue unless Kelly runs her mouth again.

FOTW sounds to me more like the B52s Rock Lobster than IICHY.

I don't understand how anyone would be able to say the similarities between Halo and Already Gone are massive yet deny the striking similarity between Fly On The Wall and If I Can't Have You. The latter is more or less a direct replication (not that it's a big deal either way).

So many songs sound similar to others. All of Gaga's songs sound almost identical and no one says anything about it. I guess because they're all from her. Not dissing on Gaga. Just saying.

FOTW intro sounds more like Sweet Dreams (the Eurythmics, that is).
But when they're lined up like that, I can hear it. Damn, Tedder is unoriginal.
BTW, here is Kelly talking (if you can hear her over the crowd) about the Grammy nomination at last night's show.

I wish she could release TOMT - I really think it would do excellently on CHR and could even make some noise on Rhythmic (as much as a song by a pop artist could anyways). Ha! You little b*tch. B*tching about me in the Lounge threads. I've told you a, I'm not a Kelly stan, BARELY even a fan (as I've always said, I just think she can sing her face off)...just because I object to your bating and shht-stirring doesn't mean I'm a 'sttan'. I've been ruder about Clarky than even you have, let's not pretend I worship at the alter. Crazy/Impartial up that 'Bro'. (And don't b***h about people in public threads it's tacky, and it's unfortunate for you that almost everyone ignored you.) Other threads... "WOAH IS ME GUYS/BROS/DUDES! Those bat-sh&t crazy Kell-bot fans are such sttans!! One insane Belly-bot told me that they preferred SUBG to Before He Cheats...!! Crazy right!!? Euach, fat queen Kelly sure has a load of sttansss. It's so dumb when those brothers be two-faced..." CUE: Kelly threads... "Hey everyone! How AMMMAAAAZZING is Addicted? Such a smash that never happened, I'm so unhappy for my Kelly bear. Oh well, aren't her and Carrie such Idol smashes? I don't know why anybody compares them, we're all in it to win it right gang?? I don't WHY anyone calls ME a Kelly h8r! Don't forget to respect Carrie ya'll, she demands it, K?." Anyway, ladies/fellas...thinking of waxing some cash on an album, I've heard most of Breakaway, and I have 'Wanted', If I were going to buy a Kelly one, which one should I go for? Thankful or My December? I've only heard the lead singles off both.

Kelly can't sing the song fully without lowering the key (or she lowers it frequently) Kelly has NEVER sang 'Life Would Suck' in the original recorded key. However, when singing live, Kelly often sings the much higher harmonized notes in the final chorus, which are up to F5-F#5 depending on whether she does only the single note high 'Somehowwwww', the trilled 'Somehowwwww', or the high ending 'My Life Would Suck Without Youuuuuu'. For example, the recorded high non-harmonized chorus of 'Life Would Suck' is at highest only an E5 note. That's why Kelly's version live is more difficult. Lastly, night after night Kellys sings songs on her tour that take her to a G5-G#5 from chest voice (check out 'Walkaway', 'All I Ever Wanted' (harmonized high notes), 'Lies', and 'Walkin' After Midnight' to name a few). There is not even one mainstream female vocalst of any genre that does that today. Beyonce probably comes closet. For comparison to other vocalists who I consider top-notch, Beyonce will get to F#5 on her nightly concerts, which is very impressive (in 'Crazy In Love' and 'Deja Vu'), Carrie Underwood will only hit a E5 on her nightly concerts during 'All-American Girl', her highest note recorded according to Carrie: www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20057685_20057687_20152857_2,00.html When Carrie included 'Alone' in her nightly concerts she once per show, she hit an F-F#5, her highest chest voice note live to date. For comparision, Kelly's highest chest voice note live to date is a C6. Thus, when discussing Kelly's lowering keys to her songs while singing live, folks really need to assess the difficulty level of this range since Kelly, by a good marin and far more frequently, sings the in the highest range live from chest register compared to nearly every mainstream female artists, something that is the riskiest and hardest on the vocal chords. There is a reason why many feel that because of the vocal range, head/chest voice changes, and melisma changes, Kelly's songs are one of the (if not the) hardest songs to sing well among mainstream vocalist.... I just want to make a comment that most of us Carrie fans are in no way disrespectful to Kelly as the author of that post, Stephen, is (consider the author's posting history- it usually tells the story, lol). Sadly, fanwars are usually instigated by a few bad apples that enjoy the turmoil; however, many of the folks on this forum fortunately I believe are put off by such behaviour....

It's never too late. Thanks again neally. So even though I apologized I'm screwed? Like I said, bad day, I apologize. Kelly is great as I've said many times. I'm pulling for her Grammy win. I don't know how to prove that to you guys. Also, did Kelly really say she was shopping around for songs this time around? That makes me excited since when artists say that they usually follow up with quality product.
