This is really terrible. I had some hope after "Spending Time," but this song is a mess.

thanks, I had just got it off another board, though
Hmm it wasn't really what I was expecting, but it's not bad...it will probably grow on me, definitely once I see the video and start hearing it more
I like the smooth, laid back, sexy vibe of the track, and the beat kinda gives it a Japanese feel, lol

The video for "Dip it Low" will be shot on January 7th, 2004 in Los Angeles, and will be directed by Joseph Khan

What's up with Fabolous snatching up all of Ja Rule's old duet partners? Lil' Mo, Christina Milian... even Ashanti. I liked Fab's 2 singles (as in "CLYG" and the Tamia version of "Into You") but I can't see why ANYONE would want to emulate ja Rule's career choices! LOL

Also, What's up with all of these "Low," songs, lately?
Kelly Clarkson's "Low" Lil' Jon and The Eastside Boyz's "Get Low"
Now it is: Christina Milian f/ Fabolous' "Dip It Low."

Boring song :( I expected something a lot better. I loved "L-O-V-E," actually.

Not really my kind of music, but I streamed it anyway. Average bubblegum R&B crap. ~_~

Her official site is up and it's streaming different "Dip it Low" versions; one with Fabolous, one with Shawnna, the instrumental, and the version with only Christina. www.christinamilian.comAnd Matthew Rolston is the video director, not Joseph Kahn.

I think 'Dip It Low,' is a very nice song. I really like it. She looks absolutely beautiful on her website start page. :)

And Matthew Rolston is the video director, not Joseph Kahn. Joseph Kahn directed Angela Via's "Picture Perfect" music video. I also had a substitute teacher named "Kahn" once. I saw her on the evening news being interviewed by a reporter once.

I really like this. She sounds a little bit like Ashanti in the beginning IMO, but I still like it.

He did? I didn't know that. Usually his videos do so good. He might not have been the head director, but his name is on the promo video's credits. Maybe he was art director or something. lol But nevermind Joseph..Nigel Dick wants to direct Angela's next video! :)

I feel bad that her last album flopped badly (did it even get a proper release here in North America?). I mean, wasn't she the first American artist who worked with Bloodshy & Avant? Bloodshy & Avant have produced some of the best stuff on Britney's latest album...

Agreed. The song will probably re-enter on my chart higher than it previously peaked (in the 50's).

I feel bad that her last album flopped badly (did it even get a proper release here in North America?). I mean, wasn't she the first American artist who worked with Bloodshy & Avant? Bloodshy & Avant have produced some of the best stuff on Britney's latest album... Her album never came out in North America. This upcoming album will be her debut North American release. She had some hot songs off that "album", though. AM to PM was catchy as hell, Get Away with Ja Rule was hot, and Spending Time with Charli Baltimore was also hot. I believe she also had a song with Jermaine Dupri that was good as well. I don't know why Irv Gotti didn't get her over to The Inc., (they were all over her...Between Me and U with Ja, and then Get Away with Ja, and Spending Time with Charli B. and produced by Irv, I believe) but I'm glad he didn't anyway, even though it's taken her years to release a proper album here. He would have relegated her to the same in-house status as Ashanti, and we all know that probably wouldn't work, two young, hot, female R&B signers basically going for the same market, in the same close, tight-knit fam like that.

Her U.K. album lists "The Inc." in her album booklet. It's weird, because "Murder Inc." was still going by that name back then. Maybe that was going to be the British version of the label, but the plans fell through?
