The MTV performance will be a career-defining milestone for her. I think that performance will always be shown on her video biography or "Behind the Music" when it appears in the future.

That's a worry. Airplay and sales aren't correlating at all, really. It's on the rise but even so.. Who knows... it could have decent longevity on iTunes like Poker Face did... However, it IS a 4th single so it probably won't.  |

I don't even care if this goes #1 on billboard. Realistically, that won't happen again until a new cd is released-maybe the re-release single. However, I do hope it sells well past a million and becomes her fourth top 3 airplay smash. And helps the cd. As long as it is as big as Love Game or bigger I am happy as can be.
Man, wouldn't it be amazing if she sold another 2 million with this? Then she would have 5+4+2+2=13 million+ in just single sales in less than 2 years. I know Love Game hasn't hit 2 million yet, but I am assuming it will by a few more months.

If she has 2 new songs on the re-release that are even half as catchy as these first 4 singles, she's gonna have her first 6 singles go #1 on Top 40. Plus she's still got Starstruck just waiting to go #1. Then it will probably be time for her 2nd album, and I can't imagine the lead single from that won't go #1. What I'm getting at is, I think she has a legit chance to pull a Mariah (first 10 single going #1 on Top 40), or even more break Mariah's record! :o

They are playing the original and several remixes here like it's been a classic for months. I can't imagine this not hitting #1 on CHR.

I don't think she's going to release 'Starstruck' after all, either. If she wanted to release that, she would've done it long before. If there happens to be another single from the current 'The Fame', it'll more than most likely be 'Eh, Eh'. But I don't think she's going to do that, at least not in the US. Once the 'Monster' era begins, it'll probably just be 'Monster' singles.

"Starstruck" is an obvious single choice. However it's just more of the same sound that we have heard with "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "LoveGame". She needed to release a ballad with "Paparazzi" so people don't get burned out from her. I hope that the next single from the up and coming re-release is something different because sooner or later people are going to be burnt out with her standard up-tempo sound.
