As expected Gaga will get her 4th Top 10 on the Hot 100 this week as she is projected to jump 18-7 this week.

I keep hearing this song everywhere right now, and I'm loving it. Fortunately I didn't burn out on this before it was a single. :)

Imo your original way of - and +'s makes more sense than what Hush Hush posted but we should do it the same as the rest of pulse I guess

I didn't really care for this outside of the chorus from the original version, her VMA version and her piano versions of this are much stronger. I especially like the key changes from the VMA version of this as well as her extended piano breaks from when she does her piano version live. In general I just think the production of this song is just poor, especially compared to her last three singles which were pretty much perfect from a production stand point. I don't care for the lyrics either outside of the chorus either. This kind of reminds me of an old song structuring technique where everything was centered around a killer chorus and the rest of the song is just mundane.
I really think the chorus is extremely well written and perhaps the best lyrics Gaga has ever written.

And I used the - with the songs that were ahead of it to show how the difference was 'decreasing', but it doesn't matter. The song should rise 3 spots before sunday! And I do agree with Monroe in some things she said. The chorus is by far the best part of the song. The rest isn't bad, but the chorus makes this song. I do like the acoustic versions better than the album one too.

The lyrics and production are my favorite part of the song-I found the chorus a bit weak LOL. I guess that just goes to show that we all hear music differently. Even way back when I first got the cd I was always wishing the chorus was stronger to match the production and interesting lyrics/verses.

I think the chorus is melodically VERY strong, she just sings too softly on it IMO. I kind of wish the song had vocals like her acoustic performances or the VMA performance where she belts every line.

I agree-I do like the chorus better live. I just think the chorus of the actual studio version falls a bit flat. Maybe it is because I think it is too subdued. I guess I had a weird reaction to Paparazzi anyway. It seems like everyone adored it from Day 1, but it took me awhile to get into it. I has grown on me immensely especially with the absolutely amazing video and performances, but it wasn't the most immediate song to me on the cd because of the chorus. The bridge has grown on me, but I also used to not like that.

The only song I really really loved by her in the first listen was 'Just Dance'. Now I really like all the songs on the album.

Even way back when I first got the cd I was always wishing the chorus was stronger to match the production and interesting lyrics/verses. I think the lyrics in the second verse and the bridge are witty but that's it for the most part. It just sounds very cold and clinical when she sings those parts, the heart of the song comes threw only within the chorus which I guess is the reason why I love the chorus so much. The only part outside of the chorus that I like is "loving you is cherry pie". Like I said before I don't really care for the song as it was recorded. I think the recorded version is incredibly weak, the production, the beat, the vocal performance, etc. is all rather underwhelming for me. The song translates a lot better on stage and in acoustic performances. That's where it is really appreciated. I think the reason why I love the chorus so much is because I think it's so incredibly sincere and it's beautiful. The love, the idealization, the wonder, the way she expresses herself is very much like a fan/stalker. That's what makes the chorus so powerful. It's full of adulation and that is played around with so very well. Prior to her VMA performance I didn't really get that in the song. She added a layer of sentimentality, heart and vulnerability to it that wasn't there before and that's why I think it's her most powerful and evocative song yet in terms of lyrical analysis and interpretation. I just wish the original version of the song was better. Most people will only know this song by what they hear on the radio and it's the least interesting version of the song by far.

Am I the only one who prefers the album version to the live version? I love that she sings the chorus in a higher, softer tone instead of belting it like she does during performances.

^ She does the same in the VMA performance only I find her voice sounds a lot better in that performance and it's more interesting then the recorded version. I really just hate the recorded version of this song. It's so incredibly underwhelming.

This has actually been worrying me lately. She sounds completely different sometimes than she does on record. I don't want GaGa to put her live sound into her album recordings, but I don't think she will.

I enjoy the chorus much better on record as well, though the live changes are extremely appreciated. And she knows this. The first few performances (as well as those on The Fame Ball) were nearly identical to the album version, as were those of her first three singles. She modifies some things after a while, to keep it interesting. So no, I don't think she'll add her "live sound" to her records.

I prefer the studio version, but I love[/i] the VMA version with the strings and her singing the chorus in harmony. I wish someone with some tech knowhow could somehow put her studio vocals with the VMA backing track.

And I also love the Demolitian Remix to Paparazzi...i was hoping for higher than #7 on the Hot 100 but hopefully it jumps to #1 soon!
