First single from forthcoming album (which may not see release until early 2010) is due for release in October according to Rock Sound magazine.
I looked up some youtube footage of live performances and although I'm going to wait to hear the recorded version, its sounds like it might just be fanfreakingtastic. The chorus is already stuck in my head. I'm very much looking forward to this album. I love this band.

I just remembered, the Lostprophets-TBA thread was where I posted that Artiebituary on April Fool's Day, I've been looking for that thing.
I always enjoy these guys, but I've never really gotten enough motivation to purchase a full album. Not sure why, maybe this song will push me over the edge. "Last Train Home" is classic.

"Last Train Home" is one of the best songs to hit #1 on Alternative in the last ten years IMO. Aside from that they're just an slightly above average band.

Aside from that they're just an slightly above average band. Actually after posting that comment, I realised that it looks a bit harsh. I haven't heard so much of their work tbh. I do appreciate some of their other songs also.

Jesus Christ, I hope it was worth scrapping a whole completed album for.

I feel like I've been looking forward to a new album from them for a long while. All three of their albums are solid, and I'm expecting this upcoming to be the same. I sure hope all the effort they've put into it over the past few years will be worth it.

Thanks for the link. Lots of negative comments on that page, but I think it sounds really good. Definitely looking forward to the album.
By the way, do any of you understand where the heck this comment is coming from? Because I sure don't.

Wow, I really like this. It's very instant and anthemic. I hope it turns out to be a big hit. This is way better than "Rooftops."

It's heavier than anything on "Liberation Transmission". Hopefully they'll score more than 1 hit off this album.

One listen = unimpressed, but then again, "Rooftops" was far from the best song on the previous album. Plus it grew on me.

I like it, however, I'm disappointed. "Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)" is a A+ song, for me. I'd score this one with a C-. :( I've been disappointed with so many 2009's music.

How can you like it but give it only a C-?

How can you like it but give it only a C-? Well, the C grade means average. If I rate something with a C, it's because I moderately appreciate something. It's just that it's a thing I don't care that much about. The song is ok, it's good for a couple listenings.

I've only heard it in low quality and I love it, so I'm not quite sure how much more I'll like it when I get to hear it the way I'm supposed to. I love pretty much everything these guys have done and am excited as to where this album seems to be heading!
So I guess I give the song a C+ ;)

Rooftops was catchy, but a little weak. This song is the best of both worlds.

And it's gone. Ah well, we can add the new one in later.
1. Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja: A+ 2. Last Train Home 3. Make A Move: A 4. 4:AM Forever: A- 5. I Don't Know: B+ 6. Rooftops 7. Last Summer 8. The Fake Sound of Progress 9. The New Transmission: B
I do not give the A+[/color] mark out to anything - maybe 20 songs in the last 10 years - but here they are with two of them.
3 great albums so far from these guys. It's been long enough for the next.
