Thankfully, at the moment, this is slated for an Urban AC only release. That basically means that it's a slow song.

I love this song on the first listen and like Rebirth put it, very impressive. This is same Teena whose voice is still in rare form and sounding better than ever. She'll definetly blow up on urban AC. You go, Lady T!!!
Any indication as to when her new CD will be released?

Her album is called 'La Dona' and it says the first single features Baby...I didn't hear him on that link. No word on a release date, though
Another long-talked-about Cash Money record is coming down the pike soon, but don't look for too much rapping on it. Legendary soul singer Teena Marie has 'La Dona' on tap. "La Dona is like the female don," Marie explained. "The female Mr. Biggs."
Mannie fresh produced her first single, "Still in Love," which features Baby, while elsewhere on the disc Marie re-teams with her "Fire and Desire" co-star, Rick James.

Not a bad song from what I heard. I was driving when I heard it, so I need to really sit down and listen to it. But I'm glad to see that she's back.

The urban mainstream version features Baby. TEENA MARIE Still in Love Producer(s): Mannie Fresh, Teena Marie Writer(s): T. Marie, B. Thomas, A. Green Publisher(s): Aliarose Music, Irving Music/Al Green Music, BMI Label/Catalog Number: Cash Money Classics/Universal UNIR 21178-2 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: March 27, 2004 It has been 13 years since Teena Marie appeared on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. In that time, much has changed in the sonic landscape of the chart. Hip-hop tracks have replaced R&B songs. But the tide appears to be changing, with new-school artists like Alicia Keys repaving the way for veterans like Marie to emerge (again). The sterling "Still in Love" marks Marie's Cash Money Classics debut. Co-produced by the artist and Cash Money in-house producer Mannie Fresh, "Still in Love" recalls "Irons in the Fire"-era Marie yet maintains a freshness that is very 2004. Without question, Marie possesses a voice that has been missing-in-action for way too long. Fortunately, a new album, "La Dona," is being readied for a late-spring/early-summer release. Ooh la la la.—MP

I just heard the version with Baby and boy is he an unnecessary aspect of the song. He doesn't even rap. He just gives a little dozen line intro and then he talks over the entire song "yeah... yeah".

Same here! That kid RUINED that song, I don't care what anyone says. Josh I agree with you on this having Baby in that version. You put a rapper in an original production like that, and it ruins the whole damn concept. I like it the way it is, but please don't put a rapper there to ruin something that has already accomplished.

I like it, my father likes and my mom doesn't like it (like she's ever liked Teena Marie anyway ). Anyway I felt this first listen though I never heard the Baby version. I see that it is going for adds at mainstream Urban it should not fair too poorly. Her voice and her sound is better than ever, this is one of the best come-backs I have ever witnessed in 20 years! Go Lady - T! Jeah!
