Well, for 80s lists, 90s lists, etc., the years lookd at are 1980-1989, 1990-1999, so this is 2000-2009. Makes sense to me. :)

Cool to see "Don't Tell Me" on there. I guess "Hung Up" has a shot at the top 200 (it was No. 26 on Pitchfork's 2005 year-end list).

Lumidee is an odd choice, isn't it? Guess it was kinda quirky.

Agreed that some choices are just a bit odd. There is plenty of good stuff there, but for a lot of the selections the artists have done much better - e.g. Alice Practice from Crystal Castles? Jumpin' Jumpin' wtf??? Seriously?

Hopefully the top 100 will make up for some of it.

What's not nice is that they dumped it from #3 in their 2004 Year-End list, and #13 in their half-decade list, to below the Top 150 now. That's probably due to her public perception, rather than the quality of the song though.

"Toxic" definitely will be Britney's only entry. It's that song and "...Baby One More Time" that have gotten decent acclaim, then that's about it. None of her albums do well on year-end/all-time lists, and the only other single to get some notice is "Oops" (which is a Xerox of "...Baby, anyhow).

I dunno if "Hung Up" will make it into the top 100; I would have though 101-200 was more probable. But, "Don't Tell Me" didn't place in Pitchfork's year-end list, so one never knows with decade lists.
