Yes, but could you please correct the title of the thread? It should be
Destiny's Child Feat. T.I & Lil' Wayne - Soldier

Thank you ;)
I'm really looking forward to the song, although the title is kind of stupid and I'm not too familar with the two rappers. Hopefully this will be another smash hit :)

I hope this whole album has upbeat songs and maybe like 2 ballads.

Ugh, with all DC3's money, couldn't they find good rappers?

Ugh, with all DC3's money, couldn't they find good rappers? T.I is the king of the South! It dont get no better then that! I'm really feelin T.I right now and I think he is one of the few good rappers around in my opinion so I couldnt be any more pleased. And he isnt the normal rapper everyone uses to get a hit like Fabolous, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Diddy, Kanye, ect. I'm glad they went a different route from the normal crop of commercial hip hop hit makers. From the article that i read, the song is supposed to be have a Dirty South Feel to it so thats why they are both on it.

I was really feeling it based on the clips, but now that I heard the full song its like 4 minutes too long, lol. It's pretty boring and it just doesn't flow. Maybe it will grow on me. I liked LMB much quicker out the gate.

^^ I think he missed the bucket at the door 'cause that's where we dropped our attitude. I can't get enuf of "Soldier"! What a Toya-esque HIT! An all-around format smash like Carly Patterson!

this does remind me of toya's "I do"... the beat and all, it sounds like a rap song. i think this will do well. i don't think it's a very good song, but it has the right sound to do well.

Im really lovin T.I's verse on this song. LiL wayne was not needed a and his verse wasnt kinda wack. And why is there s much Beyonce on this song! I knew her not being all over "loose my breath" was too good to be true. :'( Kelly should have got that 2nd part Beyonce did But on the up side Michelle has a larger part than normal!

this does remind me of toya's "I do"... the beat and all, it sounds like a rap song. I havent heard Soldier more than a handful of times but the beat doesn't remind me of Toya's song at all. The beat for "I Do" was very bouncy and fast, making alot of noises lol. This doesn't remind me of that, this is more laid back. I dont see why Lil' Wayne was needed either. I wonder who produced the song?

The only parts of this song I'm feelin' are the beat and T.I.-- that's about it....they should've just given the beat to him since he knew what to do with it.

This has got to be the weakest Destiny's Child single I have ever heard. The beat is terrible and these lyrics are so childish...I can't believe they would put out something like this.

launch.yahoo.com/artist/default.asp?artistID=1032152 For those of you that want to see the new video for "Soldier" (black and white like Snoop's, Ashanti's, and others in the past) - go to Launch and check it out. It officially premieres on MTV on TRL on Monday where they will also perform two tracks live. And to answer the question above, the track was produced by Rich Harrison. He is behind hits such as Amerie's great album and Beyonce's "Crazy In Love"!

This has become my favorite Destiny's Child record of all time!
"A rural boy that's good to me with street credibility"!
I love it!!!!!!

I dont know but this song is HOT, the video is kinda stupid, I dont get why they went so low-budget looking but ehh...
The song is hot, but their lyrics are just so contradictory...and it makes them look dumb.
Especially Michelle...I mean, didn't she put out 2 Gospel albums? They were secular or whatever but still...she looks like such a bafoon to me anyway, putting out Gosepl albums and then singing about "Wanting him to put that big thang on me" LOL or "That one looks like he could be the one tonight".
LOL a bit contradictory, much? Talking about the size of men's members and one night stands? I know Gospel has different connotations but the word Gospel alone to me means something, and usually it doesn't entail that person coming back out a few months later talking about the TOTALLY opposite end of the spectrum so explicitly.
Beyonce and Kelly, eh, its somewhat "excusable" but Michelle looks like such a sheep and a dumbass.

That's not right of you to say that IMO, Michelle has always been the less Sexy or less willing to show skin in the group and sure in this song she's talking about sex but i don't think she wanted to argue about not singing this one part.......U know Beyonce's father and how he can be .......Even though she put out gospel albums doesnt mean she cant talk about sex it's only small part in the song anyway..........

I like this almost as much as "Lose My Breath." I'm so HAPPY to see DC back in action. I'm so GIDDY!!! I can't control myself. The baseline to "Soldier" is SICK!

well, well, well... at Urban, where "Lose My Breath" is finished and falling hard after barely cracking top 10, "Soldier" is doing really well, it's currently up to #29 from #99 with over +800. Looks to be a bigger hit than LMB at least at this format.
At Rhythmic (and Pop) where LMB is still gaining, it's also doing well, and at Rhythmic is in top 20 gainers.
Looks like DC is going to have a good string of hits with this last album.

WELL this is a Urban song and urban release right now, so what more could be expected other than it doing well? lol.

I like this song a little too much at the moment. It's scary. Ditto. Lil Wayne's verse was unnecessary. Beyonce cracks me up with her dancing because she's serious and goofy at the same time. And although she had her baby already, Solange was HUGE!! :o In the video, it looked like she was carrying twins!!
