48 35 JORDIN SPARKS Battlefield 19/Jive/JLG 2009 54 31 23 Of course AC is late like always, but I see no reason why this shouldn't perform decently on this format :)

What? How is that funny? It was #81 a week ago and now it's #21, you don't think that's good?

^Yes, but the reason is because of the exit of Christmas songs, not because of some "rebound" of the song's popularity.

^Yes, but the reason is because of the exit of Christmas songs, not because of some "rebound" of the song's popularity. I know that. But if you look at the other non-Christmas songs around Battlefield, none of them had quite as huge of a leap from outside the Top 100 into the top 20.

But if you look at the other non-Christmas songs around Battlefield, none of them had quite as huge of a leap from outside the Top 100 into the top 20. I disagree strongly and suggest you look at the AC chart more closely. There are songs that have jumped from the high 90s to the top 30, etc. due to the loss of Christmas music. Remember, before the Christmas purge, Battlefield was a top 20 hit already, so yes - AC stations will immediately put it back to its spin load it had before (since it was fairly steady/rising when it was "dropped" during the Christmas season). So, no there is no shock factor to have with the rebound.

its original peak was #17. still that was almost 2 months ago and it has dropped alot at other formats since then . good to see it was able to come close to that again despite that.
