Check out Urban's gold chart at www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/Charts.asp?format=u1R&GRC=G"Encore" by Jay-Z is #1 right now, with 429 spins. I first noticed this about a week ago, and figured it might be just below the top 5 New & Active so R&R didn't list it. I didn't check where it was on the final update for this week's chart, but today it should be at #46 on the Urban chart. Will R&R correct Mediabase's mistake?

Well, I first noticed it in gold charts I saved from Thanksgiving weekend (since I was looking for an extensive list of older songs, and stations go deeper into their libraries on holiday weekends). I was going over them, and noticed "Encore" in there with the year listed as 200, instead of 2003. Someone must have entered it wrong. Now the year has been improperly corrected as 2000, but since it's not a single, I guess nobody cares enough to move it to the current chart.

It's now been moved to current (since it was assigned a position as #1 gold, it looks like it moves 1-46*, lol).

That's the second major Jay-Z error Mediabase made in less than a year. Last year they changed "Excuse Me Miss" to the remix/new single title "La, La, La (Excuse Me Again)" then changed it back to "Excuse Me Miss" and reset its spins to 0 and The Network Mag wrote that it was a debut at Number 2. Does Jay-Z need to start his own chart system to keep track of his songs?

Well the good news is that he does make the R&R chart at #50, though they incorrectly list it as one of the top 5 gainers, gaining all 403 spins this week.
