Ummmm....so Katy Perry and Kate Nash seemed to have had a love child and this is what came out. This song is very "Nick and Nora" (if you havent seen the movie that won't make sense). I'm very curious to see if it will make a dent chartwise ala Ida Maria. What worries me is she actually looks like the drag queen version of Katy Perry.  FMQB Aug 24-25 |

Love Florence + The Machine, and this song is still my favorite. I'm very surprised this is what they're choosing to promote Stateside, though, given that it's pretty old and less radio friendly than some of their other singles to date. I don't see it doing much.

It's what they're choosing to promote her Stateside because it opens the soundtrack to Jennifer's Body, the new Diablo Cody film which is out next month.
Anyway, it's a fantastic song. The lyrics are great, but it's hardly deep and sticks out like a sore thumb on Lungs. I don't think it's massively less radio friendly than most of the rest of her material and the novelty element will probably help it stick out more than the album's stronger cuts.

Are there any plans to give Lungs a release here? I still think something like "Cosmic Love" would have a better chance at doing something at Alt than this, though. |
