Natalie Imbruglia - Want [Remixes]

Natalie Imbruglia is back with a new single and a surprising change in musical style. "Want" is the name of her new electro-infused pop single and she wrote it with the help of Chris Martin (Coldplay). Signed to Island Records now, the single comes out September 28th, followed by the album's (Come To Life) release October 5th.

I'm excited about the single, though not too sure what to expect from the album as a whole. Pre-release single "Wild About It" is floating around online, along with a promotional video that she shot for it and it sounds like her usual bland brand of pop music. I guess I'm cautiously optimistic here. This remix package looks like it could have some hits in it. I'm definitely pumped for the Shapeshifters mixes.

So far, I have only heard the Shapeshifters Vocal Mix. I really like it. It's a bit harder and more driving than their usual work. I did like their lighter, more soulful stuff from the past, but it's nice to know they can do more one style.

Here's another one of those instances where the song itself didn't do much for me, but with the right remix, in this case the Shapeshifters, it's knocked out of the park. Loving the vocal and dubs...
