Insider info: Leona Lewis' forthcoming single is a mid-tempo song. It's so catchy and Clive Davis has it scheduled to debut at No. 1 in 14 countries and later reach No. 1 in over 36 countries, including Turkmeninstan. Clive Davis, the legendary record man, who's responsible for Whitney Houston's mega success, as well as her future No. 1 album, 'I Look To You', stated that Leona has worked on 6 songs with Ryan Tedder. The hit-maker has created superhits for acts like Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Clarkson. He is known for creating brand new melodies that have changed the music scene over the past few years. His songs are so unique that Davis reportedly signed him a 2 billion USD contract to write more songs like 'Halo' and 'Battlefield' that, however, are unique. According to some sources, Lewis' new song will feature the lines 'I am feeling happy, happy, happyyy. Happy, happy happy. Yeaah. Happy Happy Happy. I am finally happy happy happy. When I'm with you I'm just happy, happy, happy'.Rumor also has it that Davis has a 20 million USD deal with Billboard to debut the single at No. 98 on their chart, formerly known as the 'U.S. Billboard Hot 100', so that it can leap to No. 1 in its second week, in order to break Kelly Clarkson's January 2009 world record for the biggest leap to No. 1 in history. Finally, Davis signed a 50 million USD deal with Nielsen Soundscan to make Lewis' 'Echo' debut at No. 1 the Billboard 200 with over 3 million copies in its first week, so that the british superstar can become the artist with the most albums sold in a debut week since 1948, when Lorry Howard debuted at No. 1 with about 2.9 million copies sold.lol! this is so fake!

Everyone treats Leona like she's had 7 #1 albums and 50 top 5 singles. Why does everyone think she's a shoe-in for a huge hit record this time around? ???

In the US especially the 'Bleeding Love' is far bigger than she is. Even worldwide she had a couple of other semi-solid hits and had to fall back on another awesome epic (this time a cover) anthem song. I think in Spirit's case it was Bleeding Love that sold a billion albums (and to a lesser extent 'Run'), not Leona - the singer or the quality of her album. I haven't actually got enough good things to say about Bleeding Love actually. It's faultless. My point being that if this song is as good as that one, she'll have no problem. If it's even half as good, it might not. But it's not a given that this will be a monster.

Yeah, she isn't the huge name in the US that she is in the UK. She had a mega hit and a successful follow-up, but that's it....and her third single flopped. This isn't going to get some automatically huge debut here I don't think...she's not quite a staple on US radio yet.
If it's good though, she should have no problem.

Ask Simon Cowell, if you don't believe me. That's exactly what he told me. Syco think Leona can become the biggest selling act of the millenium. The record label has invested over 3 billion USD in Leona's forthcoming album. They have even paid the Grammy's Academy already. The say they will give Leona 6 Grammys to make her the female with the most awards won in one night.

I wonder how many albums Leona would have to shift to recoup the costs of a three billion dollar investment.

She had one of the biggest worldwide albums in recent history (since the huge drop in album sales) outselling many of the artists today that are considered the biggest things out there or of legendary status. That, in itself, warrants some attention in my opinion. Of course, in America she is not nearly as big as she is worldwide, but I am still interested to see if she can have a hit second album or continue the momentum from the first album.

I think a two hundred and fifty million copy opening week is a little conservative though. I'm thinking if she has a big hit on her hands, she'll be able to cross three hundred million...easy.

Whoever wrote that has their facts all wrong. Leona has been set up to debut with 16 million copies of Echo.

^^I'm happy she co-wrote it. And Ryan didnt actually write it so there might not be too much repetition.

If you're going to single out people for making fun of people making silly stories, at least don't ignore half of them. Those posts weren't actually related to Leona if you look a little further below the surface. Similarly don't go b*tching around the rest of the forum because you you can't handle any humor about an artist (Mariah has been getting similar treatment over the last few days, none of it is mean-spirited)... similarly, don't group any one set of 'anti-fans' with a fangroup. It's shortsighted and kinda dumb.
