Because Be A Light peaked at #2, I have updated those #2s totals for Reba McEntire (got back into the top ten on this list) and Keith Urban. Of course, it is the first runner-up hit for Thomas Rhett, Hillary Scott, and Chris Tomlin.

What is the biggest #2 song in the airplay era as far as weeks at #2? My guess is Jo Dee Messina's "Lesson In Leavin'" but for some reason I remember Andy Griggs' "She's More" spending several weeks at #2 as well.

However, Kenny Chesney also spent seven weeks at #2 in 2004 with I Go Back. His friend, Tim McGraw was tops with Live Like You Were Dying. She's More spent five weeks at #2 behind Faith Hill's The Way You Love Me and Yes! by Chad Brock in 2000.

I have updated Tim McGraw's #2s totals to nine with I Called Mama. If an artist wants to get into the top ten on this list, they need ten runner-up hits to do so.

Do you happen to have a list of all the #2’s in order?

If you’re meaning in order of when they peaked on the chart I can give you the country Airplay ones because I do have them listed. Before that I don’t but I don’t think it would be that hard to do because I love doing research projects like this.

I have updated Kenny Chesney's #2s totals to eleven with Happy Does. If he manages another #2 peaking single, he will be statistically tied with Conway Twitty and Eddy Arnold. However, he will move up one to #3 as the other two artists already have a dozen runner-up hits. I have also added the link to the opening post to CoJoFan's list of #2 Billboard country hits. Enjoy!
