Someone please tell me why this is an urban? This is an urban and Hot 97 is a Rhythmic...dosent make sense at all...

Interesting playlist, but why are they in the urban slot?

I guess you could call them a Rhythmic-leaning Urban. Urban is usually directed towards African-Americans, and the percentage of the demographic in the Omaha area is only around 12%. Probably one of the lowest (if not the lowest) on the whole panel. I guess you could say Omaha is one of the whitest cities with an Urban. I'm trying my best not to be stereotypical here haha, but it is probably the main factor for the playlist being that way.

It may also be heavily competing with the only CHR in the market, KQCH. They were ranked very close to each other in the Arbitron ratings for the summer with both very high market shares.

Makes sense I guess.... but its like a CHR playing Pretty Wings and God In Me... just that odd

Actually, the market with an Urban that has the least percentage of African-Americans is Corpus Christi, TX. It has a percentage of only 4.5% African-American. KNDA is a strong Urban as well with no lean whatsoever. Its market share is only a 1.8 compared to the Rhythmic KZFM which is a Top 5 station in the city. How this station survives in this market with that playlist boggles my mind. Expect some sort of flip soon if the ratings don't improve.

Well, nothing major, just means less Urban spins for Lady Gaga.

However, no urban should EVER have I Gotta Feeling in Power Rotation.
