Your #1 song gets played on radio even today. But always the album version and not the single version. They are quite a bit different. I'm assuming you were charting the single version back then.

One of my fave songs at the time was the ELO song. A sure bet #1 had I been charting then. So it's great to see it in your top 10 when it only made it to #35 on the BB Hot 100.

I see you charted the Martin Stevens version of "Love Is In The Air". Did the John Paul Young version eventually chart for you?

Welcome back! I haven't been able to visit nearly as often as I would like either, but it's nice to stop by periodically.

Your chart for this week in 1978 was as Canadian influenced as ever with a number exceptional tunes unknown to most Americans. Starting with your #1 song, which should have been a much bigger hit in the states.

And the Teaze song making the monster leap into the Top 5. Hard to believe these rockers could come out with such a subdued tune. "Roses And Chrome" is another great one they did.

I believe "Here I Go Again"" was the last song ;) I ever heard by the former Edward Bear lead singer. Very classy tune.

It's refreshing to see a chart from around this time without a Bee Gees tune lodged at #1. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that the following week they took that spot on your chart.

The number of music legends we have lost this year is very sad. It seems like yesterday I was posting my chart for Whitney Houston. Now it's time for Donna Summer. Since I began charting towards the beginning of 1980, I missed the opportunity to chart a number of her classic 70's songs and I'm confident a couple of those would have been #1's on my chart. Most of her singles in the 80's made it into my Top 10, but one song made it all the way to #1. Which is the chart I will post this week. RIP Donna.
