New album, single, and tour within months says Billboard. Although their last single bombed from Poison, I think a little more push will come from the lead track of this album.
EDIT : CONFIRMED TITLE

Poison wasn't really meant to be pushed to radio. Chris said that in interviews. In fact, the song in question wasn't even supposed to really be a single.

I figured he had become a Hot AC/Triple A exclusive act, and that his days on the rock formats were finished. I still feel that way.

Dashboard Confessional Go Acoustic and Electric for Deluxe “Alter the Ending” 10/8/09, 12:02 pm EST
For years, Dashboard Confessional fans have been locked in fierce debate over whether they prefer Chris Carrabba unplugged or with his full band. But die-hards will get to enjoy their hero both ways this fall: DC have revealed that the deluxe version of upcoming album Alter the Ending, due out November 10th, will be accompanied by a bonus disc featuring acoustic versions of the album’s 12 tracks. :o
“Making an electric and acoustic version of an album was an idea we’d kicked around for a couple years. This record felt like the one to do it with,” Carrabba tells Rolling Stone. “Most of my songs start out as acoustic songs anyway, so it wasn’t real stretch. But to make it new, there was more of a ‘bunch of guys around one mic’ approach. Also, I’m not oblivious to the fact that no matter what we do, there are always those people who prefer us acoustic. Now they don’t have to choose one or the other.”
Up top is the cover for the deluxe version, which takes the standard version’s red artwork and hues it blue. Alter the Ending’s first single “Belle of the Boulevard” is streaming now over at imeem (listen to it above, too), and DC will hit the road with New Found Glory starting October 23rd in Syracuse, New York.
Alter the Ending track list:
1. “Get Me Right” 2. “Until Morning” 3. “Everybody Learns From Disaster” 4. “Belle of the Boulevard” 5. “I Know About You” 6. “Alter the Ending” 7. “Blame it on the Changes” 8. “Even Now” 9. “The Motions” 10. “No News is Bad News” 11. “Water and Bridges” 12. “Hell on the Throat”

I heard this song at work today, got added to Shoppers Drug Mart radio hahaha. Anyways it's a pretty solid song, better than anything from the last album, but still more AAA/HAC leaning

I've only heard this once. I'm surprised it's that high.

I just listened to their new album and I absolutely love it! A lot of the songs are hard enough that I could see them doing very well on Alternative, but I think those days are over for them and they're yet another band that will have to concentrate on being played on Hot AC. "Belle Of The Boulevard" is #49 there currently.

Did you listen to the acoustic disk as well? If so, which is better?

Did you listen to the acoustic disk as well? If so, which is better? Nope, I only listened to the electric one. Actually, I completely forgot about the acoustic one. I'll have to go look for it now.

I assumed the Acoustic CD came with the album. Maybe it's a special edition. You shouldn't have to look too far if not.

So there's a regular version? Not sure. But I haven't heard this other than the debut. I assume this isn't Modern-ready.
