No matter how bad the new MJ's song is, it will skyrocket to No. 1 in a couple of hours, just because it's Michael freaking Jackson, and all the world is waiting for his posthumous releases... Will Britney be able to overtake his first week sales? I seriously doubt it, but that's not in any way an insult or a way to bring Britney down... His song isn't premiering until October 12th. Great :)

i think her best bet is goin to be best dance recording...... Yep. That said, I do agree with B. Monroe in that Jive should have taken a chance and submitted her for as many categories as possible. Last year they didn't submit anything in the Dance Category which was a huge mistake. They submited last year Gimme More for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Gimme More didn't belong in that category at all. They should have submited Gimme More or Piece Of Me for Best Dance Recording. I hope they don't do the same mistake this year. They need to submit "Womanizer" to Best Dance Recording and "Circus" to Female Pop Performance.

I loved her vocal performance on 'GM', and I thought she deserved a nomination in that category.

^you should probably stop replying to some of these posts with comments like that Why??? He came here for no reason!!! "Since this is going up against Michael's new song, it really has no chance at number 1; but I'd settle for a top 3." How he knows that this has no chance?please You're kinda weird.

At least her label could have submited "Piece Of Me" for Best Dance Recording.

"Gimme More" uses too much computerization on the vocals, it was never going to be taken seriously in that category. "Break The Ice" would have faired better, as it isn't as processed as "Piece Of Me" and "Gimme More" are they would have been better serviced in the dance categories. Blackout also should have been submitted for best electronic album.

Bottomline is that the Grammys has turned into a joke and plus that show is a freaking bore fest.

@mileycyrus Thanks for coming to my show last night! Hope you had fun! - Britney LOL @ anyone who thinks that's actually Britney doing her Twitter updates. Other than the highly edited FOR THE RECORD doc, I doubt we will ever truly get to know Britney the person.

"Gimme More" uses too much computerization on the vocals, it was never going to be taken seriously in that category. [/quote But that award doesn't actually have anything to do with the vocals, does it? no, it doesnt...but people will never understand it, every year is the same thing... yes it does have to do with the vocals. The misconception that it means the best vocals, when it really means best song with vocals. It implies that vocals are under consideration when deciding the winner so yea, it does have to do with the vocals of a song. Because vocals obviously under consideration if the song MUST have vocals

But that award doesn't actually have anything to do with the vocals, does it? Supposedly it's the best "song" that has vocals included in it, however I personally believe that the vocals in question do play a huge part in the decision making of who gets the award. I would actually argue that it's the most important aspect in deciding the award. If you look at the past winners of this decade the award has gone to those who have odd sounding voices (Nelly Furtado, Macy Gray), those who are heavy belters (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera) or those who exhibit great control over their voices (Norah Jones, Sarah McLachlan, Adele). Britney has been nominated for that award three times (...Baby One More Time, Overprotected and Oops!...I Did It Again) and all of her nominations were from a time period before her voice was heavily computerized which leads me to believe that her best chance at getting another nomination would be for her to not submit songs that don't heavily alter her voice. Her best shots this year would be with "Circus" or "If U Seek Amy" as both of those songs have very minor alterations to them and you can actually hear her natural voice.

IT technically isn't who has the best vocals, but they seem to favor certain artists and types of vocals over others. I guess you could say that about the awards in general. Like, Album of the Year? Usually goes to a certain type of artist or types of artists.

So Circus era is officially over? That was fast. ^ They released four singles, which is pretty standard. And this song sure as hell better not have a breakdown where it just goes THREE THREE THREE THREE THREE THREE-EE-EE-EE or some s**t. That is totally going to be the chorus "Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme more gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme more" "Womanizer womanizer womanizer you're a womanizer oh womanizer oh you're a womanizer baby you you you are you you you are womanizer womanizer womanizer" "Three three three three three three oh baby three three three three-ee oh three-oh-three three"

Congrats Britney on completely finishing the U.S. leg of the Circus Tour. 83 shows in the bag. What an F U for those who said you couldn't pull it off. I'm amazingly proud of ya.
