its not going to debut at #1 because there are songs that are selling extremely well and much higher on airplay. she may jolt to number 1 tonight but there are some songs being played heavily already that are in the top 5 of itunes as well.

She needs around 220-230k to go #1 on the hot 100. Womanizer did 286k and Circus 212k, so it's possible.

of course it could. its not impossible. its just not realistic at all. its competitive right now at the top because songs are pretty well synced between itunes and radio.

Please qualify what you mean by "selling extremely well"? Miley was the best seller two weeks ago and she sold 180k. Not exactly blockbuster numbers there. The chart isn't competitive at all right now in terms of sales. Britney has withered much more competitive charts then the ones we are seeing now. The only problem Brit may have is if she is able to sell 220-240k or not.

It was more competitive when Womanizer was released. In that time to be #1 britney needed more than 300 points ( sales + Airplay. Now with 250 points #1 is possible.
