Meh, Diane Martell isn't that good of a director Diane has done some great videos - 'Genie In A Bottle', 'What A Girl Wants', 'Nobody's Home', 'Promise' and 'Like A Boy', to name a few - so I'm not too worried. I just hope the choreography is up to par. That's my only concern. |

Today is mostly fan effect , it is not a good idea to make predictions. We have to see how ¨3¨will do the rest of the week.

I can't wait, and yay for official confirmation for Britney! Wonder when we'll get the video? In 2 weeks? I hope it's also included on the Singles Collection DVD. =)

It'll go down wed and thursday but think of how many interested people didn't even know Britney had a single out. We were talking about this at work and even the straight guys like the song. I was actually shocked to hear them say it. I hope hits gives us an update on Britney's sales since its a boring week for new releases album wise. I really think Britney will have sold at least 200k by 12am wed morning. |

Having her in the #1 slot gives it a lot of exposure. I'm sure a lot of people don't even know Britney has a new single out yet.
When they open their I-tunes and see the picture it'll help out.

How many artists go to #1 in less than 14 hours? I really think 350k is a given assuming sales are stable throughout the rest of the week. If they are high or moderately high I really think 500k isn't out of the question. I have a tendency to overshoot my load. Right now it appears as though I may not be. We'll know more tomorrow. Hopefully hits has an update. You don't get #1 that fast with just fans buying your single. |

That was a crazy fast ride to the top! Seeing this makes me more hopeful of a hot 100 #1, but it is still very up in the air. It really just depends on how well sales maintain throughout the week. The number 1 slot is great advertisement. I can see this one pulling it off.
I'm not sure how I feel about Diane Martel directing the video. I am SO happy we are getting a dance video though. I hope it is intense. I was kind of hoping for Paul Hunter. However, I am glad she is expanding her horizons. She is working with a director and choreographers she never has worked with before. Hopefully they can bring out the best in each other.

Question: I already purchased the song...but if people were to buy the song 5 times on their account (not gifting them at all) why would they not count as sales? I heard that your own account will only count 1 sale. Is that true? If so, what on earth happens to the additional 4?

Guys, just because the past couple weeks the number one digital seller hasn't been above or much above 200k, doesn't mean that is always the case. There also hasn't been a new first single release by a huge artist like Britney, probably since Run This Town.
So it's definitely possible that it could hit 300k, but there's just no way to tell yet. You have to see how it's going to go the rest of the week. If the lead keeps growing, it could easily sell more than 300k. Miley sold 180k last week, and assuming her sales are the same and Britney's remain around this point for the rest of the week, she would easily cross 200-220k.

Justin Bieber will be a problem for Britney in Canada. The gap on itunes is not that big anymore. Hope Britney can hold the #1 the rest of the week and be #1 in Canada.
